Zhejiang Oriental geological museum is located in the international Zhonggang City, the core of Nanhu New District, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province. The museum was officially opened to the public on April 22, 2008. It is located on the fifth floor of Zhonggang city and invested by Zhejiang Zhongcheng group, with a total private investment of 250 million yuan and a total construction area of 12000 square meters. The museum includes 13 exhibition halls, including earth hall, mineral hall, gem hall, dinosaur hall, petroleum hall, night pearl hall, petroleum exploration hall, Zhejiang geology and geomorphology settlement hall and earthquake escape demonstration hall. There are more than 10000 exhibits in the museum, including the world's largest night pearl weighing 8 tons. Silicified wood with a total length of 48 meters, ichthyosaurs with multiple births and crinoids with a height of more than 9 meters are rare and precious in China and even in Asia.
