Jimei space city
Jimei space city is located in the South Bank of Jimei Dragon Boat pool, with an area of 1500 square meters. Its scale is second only to Beijing Space Museum, and it is the second largest space city in China.
brief introduction
There are five halls in the space city, including sequence hall, knowledge model hall, satellite launch demonstration hall, satellite measurement and control hall and video playback hall. In the center of the hall is a model of geostationary satellite, which is composed of stainless steel balls, two circular orbits, two satellites and a rotating machine. One of them is dongfanghong-3 satellite, which is fixed on the earth orbit parallel to the equator and rotates synchronously with the earth. It is a communication satellite serving our TV, radio and other communication facilities.
The other is fengyun-1 meteorological satellite, which is China's first generation meteorological satellite in synchronous orbit with the sun. It is mainly used for meteorological observation of the earth and atmosphere.
Exhibition hall
The knowledge model hall mainly displays pictures of ancient space exploration and modern Chinese Rockets, launch vehicles, foreign rockets, long march series rockets and world manned space vehicles
Space models, pictures, etc.
The satellite launching demonstration hall is made in imitation of Xichang Satellite Launching Center. Xichang Satellite Launch Center is China's space launch base for launching geostationary satellites. It is mainly composed of technical test area, launch area, command and control center, measurement station and service support. Visitors can see with their own eyes the simulated launch of the satellite, from start-up to rocket ascent, and then see the satellite fall off one by one, until finally the satellite rises into the space and gets farther and farther away from the earth, from large to small, and finally gradually disappears. This demonstration is the most fascinating. The scenery of "sitting on the ground, traveling 80000 Li a day, touring the sky and looking at a thousand rivers" makes people daydream.
The satellite TT & C Hall shows the launch and TT & C of Chinese satellites and the measurement and control of TT & C technology indicating aircrafts (rockets and satellites). In addition, there are two touch computers, which allow the audience to directly touch with their fingers. Once they press their fingers, various graphics, such as satellites, will appear on the screen. The other touch computer is the rocket part, which you can choose.
The video hall is the multi-function projection hall, which has the demonstration of the return process of the recoverable satellite.
Visiting Jimei space city will not only help you understand the development of China's and the world's space industry, but also expand your knowledge field and interest in space related disciplines.
