Fujian Road
Fujian road is the administrative division of Fujian in the Northern Song Dynasty, which is equivalent to the province of Ming and Qing Dynasties. brief introduction
Fujian in the Northern Song Dynasty belonged to Fujian Road, which was set up in the southwest of Zhejiang Province in the second year of Yongxi reign (985 AD). It is located in Fuzhou (today's city). There are six prefectures, two armies and 47 counties -- 12 counties in Fuzhou, 7 counties in Jianzhou, 7 counties in Quanzhou, 5 counties in nanjianzhou, 5 counties in Tingzhou, 4 counties in Zhangzhou, 4 counties in shaowujun and 3 counties in xinghuajun (since 979). Since then, Fujian has maintained eight prefecture level administrative divisions for a long time, so it is called "eight Min".
At the end of the Northern Song Dynasty, the Jin soldiers occupied the Central Plains, and the Han nationality moved to the south for the third time on a large scale. In the Song Dynasty, the number of households in Fujian had exceeded one million. By the time of Jiading, the number of households had reached 1.59 million.
In the Southern Song Dynasty, Fujian road was set up separately, including one Prefecture, five prefectures, two armies and 48 counties, including seven counties of Jianning Prefecture, twelve counties of Fuzhou, seven counties of Quanzhou, five counties of Nanjian Prefecture, six counties of Tingzhou, four counties of Zhangzhou, four counties of Shaowu Army and three counties of Xinghua army.
At the beginning of the Southern Song Dynasty, Cheng Luoxue entered Fujian, and Fujian learning was founded. From Shaoxing to Chunxi in the Southern Song Dynasty, Zhu Xi, a fujianren, made a comprehensive summary of the Neo Confucianism thoughts since the Northern Song Dynasty, and the development of Fujian studies was mature.
In 1276, the yuan army occupied Lin'an, and King Yi Zhao ascended the throne in Fuzhou, changed his name to Jingyan, promoted Fuzhou to Fu'an Prefecture and designated it as the capital of the line.
In the Song Dynasty, Fujian's economy and culture reached its peak. Overseas trade is developed. Quanzhou has become the largest port in the East and the starting point of the maritime Silk Road. In terms of culture and education, there were 5986 Jinshi and 19 top scholars in Fujian in the Song Dynasty (before 1242), ranking first and second in the country.
