Podong Village

Podong, a small village in Sansui. This village, surrounded by mountains and water, has a thousand years of farming civilization and a history of more than 600 years. The rice produced here was once paid tribute to the imperial court.

Podong village, Tailei Town, Sansui County, Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province is located in the northeast of Tailei Town, 10 kilometers away from Sansui county and 5 kilometers away from the town government. The total land area is 10 square kilometers and the cultivated land area is 726 mu. Highway 65 passes through the village by road, 1km away from national highway 320. There are six villager groups, 205 households and 913 people in the village. There are 31 party members, including 3 women party members and 6 party activists.

In September 2019, Podong Village Branch Committee was rated as the national model of national unity and progress.

On December 31, 2019, it will be included in the second batch of National Forest Village list.

In 2010, the per capita net income of the village was 3100 yuan. In recent years, the "two committees" of Podong village seize the opportunity of development, change the development ideas, and achieve remarkable results in the construction of new rural areas by taking the opportunity of the construction of ecological sightseeing agriculture demonstration area in eastern Guizhou (Sansui) and the implementation of land consolidation, "one case, one discussion", and poverty alleviation projects of vegetable industrialization. In 2005, the village was listed as "ecological civilization rich village" by the county Party committee. In the same year, it was rated as "civilized village" by the county Party committee and government in 2003-2004, and then it was listed as the demonstration village of "new socialist countryside" in our county.
