Langbapu earth forest

Langbapu tulin, also known as Xinhua tulin, is located in Xinhua Township, 33 kilometers west of Yuanmou County, 15 kilometers away from Banguo tulin. It is located at the junction of Yuanmou, Dayao and mouding counties, with an altitude of 1560-1640 meters and an area of 1.4 square kilometers. It is developed in the silty fine sand layer, clay layer and a small amount of fine gravel layer of lacustrine sediments.

The soil forest is tall and dense, with complete types. The cone-shaped soil column is well developed, ranging from 8 to 25 meters in height, with a maximum of 42.8 meters, ranking the first in Yuanmou soil forest. In shape, there are cone-shaped, peak cluster shaped, snow peak shaped, city wall shaped and other shapes. The snowy peak shaped soil forest has a large scale, up to 40 meters in height. In terms of color, the top is mainly purplish red, the middle and upper parts are gray, and the middle and lower parts are yellow with brown red, gray white, brown yellow, gray black, cherry red, etc.

From a distance, it looks like a magnificent palace. When you are in it, you feel as if you are facing an ancient dream. The feeling of "yearning for the long time of heaven and earth, only pathetic and crying" arises spontaneously. From a close look, some of them are like majestic warriors, ready to go; some of them are like cones and swords, pointing straight at the blue sky; some of them are like young girls, gazing into the distance; some of them are like figures, animals and birds; some of them are like the great wall, with tall and straight earth pillars, such as Huabiao and giant bamboo shoots. Some of them are overgrown with weeds or wild flowers on the top of the earth column; some of them are covered with sand and stone and bare Of course, various forms of soil columns are mixed distribution, which makes the soil forest form a colorful and changing posture, which is amazing. Looking at the clouds, they are vivid and lifelike. The various shapes seem to make people enter a new world. At dusk, the earth pillars are like white haired old people, watching the people of langbapu silently.

Langbapu earth forest is surrounded by gentle mountains, full of young Yunnan pine, green all the year round, cattle and sheep all over the slope, and sparse villages. A quicksand river meanders from the earth forest to langbapu reservoir, like a dancing silver green ribbon, shining in the sun.
