Xiao's ancestral hall
Xiao's ancestral hall, located in Xiaojia village, Xiangxian Town, Danyang City, Jiangsu Province, is the ancestral hall of the descendants of Xiao Daocheng, Emperor Gao of Qi Dynasty, and Xiao Yan, Emperor Wu of Liang Dynasty.
Xiao's ancestral hall is one of the three physical relics of Qi Liang culture in Danyang City. From the northern and Southern Dynasties to the Tang Dynasty, Xiao's family was prosperous and distinguished, known as "imperial family" and "prime minister family". Although Xiao's ancestral hall has been preserved to this day, it is a pity that it is a broken wall. However, there are exquisite stone and brick carvings from the Southern Dynasties, Song Dynasty and Ming Dynasty.
Xiao's ancestral hall was founded in 318, the first year of Daxing in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Danyang visited the Xiao family in Xianzhen and was the empress of Xiao He, the Prime Minister of the Han Dynasty. In the first year of Daxing in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (318), Xiao Zheng, the grandson of Xiao's 20th family, moved from Lanling in Shandong Province to nanlanling city (Danyang). There were 15 brick and wood bungalows in three rooms. There are exquisite stone carvings and brick carvings in the Southern Dynasties, song Dynasty and Ming Dynasty. There are two houses in one courtyard.
