HEPA pagoda
Located on the Bank of Hengjiang River in the northwest suburb of hEPO Town, Jiexi County, Jieyang City, Guangdong Province, it was built in the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty (1805). It is the first ancient building to be seen in the hEPO basin. It is also the symbol of hEPO with Wufeng (also known as Miaoshan) in the southwest.
The tower is octagonal. It's all made of green bricks. Facing north, there are four characters of "Qinghe mainstay" carved in stone. The shape of the tower is beautiful, vigorous and majestic. It stands by the river like a giant pillar. When you climb on the top of the tower, you can have a panoramic view of the city. The pagoda has been built for nearly two hundred years. It has been impacted by numerous natural disasters and remained motionless, resulting in three changes of its river course. Therefore, it has the reputation of "pagoda flying". HEPO pagoda and Yufeng (Damiao mountain) are the symbols of hEPO mountain city.
