geographical environment
The whole town is located on the alluvial flat dam of Mabian River Basin, with its back on the beautiful and rich three dams of Luojiang River in the north, and its south facing the clear water stream and the rolling Wulong mountains. There are mountains all around. In the East are banliping, Nan'an mountain, Laojun Mountain and Yuhuang mountain; in the south are Wulong mountain and Jinao mountain; in the West are Santai mountain, Chenxi mountain and Longmen Mountain; in the north are Longma mountain, dashanpo mountain and Xianren mountain. As a result, Sanba of Luojiang river forms a small basin, and Qingxi ancient town is located in the south of the basin.
The ancient town is close to the Mabian river. On the other side of the river are Dalong mountain, Erlong mountain and Sanlong mountain of Wulong mountain, which are the best commanding heights for viewing the whole town. Standing on the top of Erlong mountain, the main peak, you can see the "deep rhinoceros Autumn Moon" from the top, the Yuguan temple from the bottom, and the street view of the ancient town. Bituo's Mabian River comes slowly from xiniutuo to the south, and goes slowly to the east around Qingxi ancient town. The magnificent Qingxi bridge lies across the Mabian river at the west end of the town, becoming another beautiful scenery of the ancient town.
These natural environments make Qingxi ancient town form the environmental characteristics of "facing mountains, along rivers and falling dams" with "backing on the fertile fields of pingchou and facing the green waters and green mountains", and also form the cultural characteristics of "Lao Jun in the East, Jin Ao guarding the gate in the west, and dragon guards in the north and South".
