Zhu Zhangdu
Zhu Zhangdu, located in Tianxin District, Changsha City, Hunan Province, is one of the ancient ferry crossings set up by Xiangjiang River in Changsha in the old time. The ferry has a memorial archway on both sides of the Xiangjiang River, with Wenjin on the east bank and Daoan on the West Bank. The origin of Zhu Zhangdu's name is to commemorate the two Neo Confucianists Zhu Xi and Zhang Xi in Song Dynasty. When Zhu and Zhang would talk, they often traveled by boat at this ferry. Many students also went through this ferry when they were studying and asked questions, so it became prosperous for a time.
historical origin
From now on, Hunan First Normal University in Changsha crosses Shuyuan road and arrives at the famous ferry named Zhu Zhangdu on the Xiangjiang River of Liupu street. In 1167 A.D., Zhu Xi, a great master of Neo Confucianism, came to Tanzhou to visit Zhang. After Zhu Xi stayed in Changsha for two months, the famous "Zhu Zhang Hui Shuo" began. Zhu and Zhang discussed a series of problems in Neo Confucianism, such as "Zhonghe" and "Taiji" in Yuelu Academy and Chengnan Academy in turn. Yuelu is just a river away from the south of the city. Zhu and Zhang often go back and forth in the Xiangjiang River in the same boat. Zhu Xi wrote down this far-reaching academic exchange activity in his poems. The universe is poor and deep. The ambition of a strong man in memory of the past is the heart of a gentleman in time. Send a message to the middle of the world, who can find the boundless. "
It is said that they named the east bank "Wenjin" and the West Bank "Daoan". The Governor Liu Gong built a boat house on the shore for the two to rest when they went back and forth. Zhang and Zhu Xi also wrote poems with the same title to amuse themselves. In 1194, after Zhang's death, Zhu Xi was appointed as a history of pacification in Hunan Province. He moved to Changsha. He still traveled through the ancient ferry to and from Yuelu Academy and the government office. He worked in the daytime and lectured at night. He followed thousands of disciples. The prosperous scene of the ferry can be imagined.
Since then, Zhu Zhangdu has been the main ferry for the students of Yuelu Academy to and from Xiangjiang River. In the 17th year of Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty, Xuezheng Tang Fu donated Zhu Zhangdu pavilion to shuiluzhou. Yuan Mingyao, the head of Yuelu Academy, wrote a record. In the 11th year of Xianfeng, Xuezheng Hu Ruilan rebuilt the ferry, which was named Wenjin in the East and dao'an in the West. In the Qing Dynasty, the expenses of "annual repair" and "oil tank" of Zhu Zhang ferry were all maintained by the people donating land and fighting for donations. In the 11th year of Daoguang alone, Yang Zhensheng donated 120 liang of silver to pay the "Daoshi" interest to cover the "annual repair" expenses; CAI Xianguang and CAI Xianzhe donated two shops for ferry operation.

Tourism information
There are many poems about Zhu Zhangdu in the past dynasties. Li Jiajun in the Qing Dynasty said: "a boat of Cangjiang ferry will leave a splendid legacy for thousands of years. The tide adds water to Hunan, and the sand embraces Orange Island. Dao'an first boarded and waded, and Wenjin traveled together. In the three Chu areas of Britain and the United Kingdom, enterprises are in the forefront of reform. " Fang Weixia, a revolutionary martyr and teacher of Hunan First Normal University, is nostalgic for the past, lyrical by scenery, and diligent in writing: "in the south of the storm city for decades, he still rubs the remnant Jiesi.". That is to say, looking at Zhu Zhangdu from afar, it is still the high autumn moon in the sky. " In May 1915, Comrade Mao Zedong wrote a poem of five rhythms: "the whole world is full of Zhu Zhangdu, the ice rises and the orange grows.". The birds are singing, the maple path is quiet, and the trees are green. Climb the danger to call the couple, pan Kong knows Jianling. He Xi rhymes together, and his virtue is still sweet for thousands of years. "
Today, there is still a small ferry between juzizhoutou and the two sides of the river, which makes up for the lack of river crossing between Wuyi Road Bridge and Houzishi bridge. It has become a unique scene in the downtown.
