history

It is reported that mengjiangyuan, separated from Jiashan, is the former residence of mengjiangnu in Qin Dynasty. Meng Jiangnu married fan Lang in Liyang. Soon after fan Lang left the Great Wall, Meng Jiangnu often went to the top of Jiashan mountain to watch her husband return. Therefore, there is a watcher's platform on the top of Jiashan mountain. There are two sharp footprints on the platform. There is a round stone on the hillside, which is as flat as a mirror. It is said that Meng Jiangnu often combs her hair here. In 1534, the governor of Hunan and the magistrate of Lizhou, Wang, rebuilt the zhenlie temple for Meng Jiangnu in Jiashan, Xinzhou. In 1954, Meng Jiangnu zhenlie temple was destroyed by fire. Today's cunshanmen, Dadian and houdian have been rebuilt by Lixian cultural relics administration since the 1970s. Wangfu platform, embroidered bamboo and stone mirror still exist. On the other side of the stone tablet, the inscription is three lines of running script, with four characters in the middle: "Mengjiang's former residence". On the two sides, the inscription reads: "the cloud of the Tao is far away thinking of the gentleman", "the soul returns to his former residence", and the horizontal inscription: "fu I Bang Jia".

Mengjiangnu zhenlie temple has been listed as a key cultural relics protection unit. It is open to the public all the year round, with an average annual number of tourists reaching more than 100000. Jiashan cultural relics management station is set up by the cultural relics management office. In 1993, the people's Government of Hunan Province announced below as a key tourist attraction unit of Hunan Province.
