In Jieyang Rongjiang Park, built in 1958, the stele faces south. It is made of granite stone. The structure is rigorous and solemn. The height of the stele is 10 meters and the width of the base is 14 meters. The body of the stele is square and the top is a five pointed star. The front is engraved with "monument to revolutionary martyrs" in gold, and the four sides of the pedestal are carved with doves of peace, ears of wheat and colorful clouds. The front of the platform is 3.5 meters high, and the third floor is 9.7 meters wide. The platform is surrounded by four stone railings, and four doors are opened.
In 1990, it was renovated and built stone walls and Guardrails for slope protection, and the square in front of the monument with an area of nearly 1000 square meters was expanded. The square in front of the monument is paved with square stone bricks. A fountain is set in the center of the square, and two rows of lanterns are erected on both sides. On the north side of the square are planted hero trees, on the East and west sides are planted cypress trees, on the south side are built low glazed walls, and the monument of Jieyang revolutionary martyrs is more solemn.

The monument will be built forever and the spirit will stay forever. Every year on Tomb Sweeping Day, in front of our martyrs memorial, there are always groups of people who cherish the memory of the martyrs. We commemorate the revolutionary martyrs in order to inherit and carry forward the tradition of patriotism, pass on the spirit of patriotism from generation to generation, and turn it into a powerful driving force for economic and social development.
In order to comfort the martyrs and give better play to the function of patriotism education base, the municipal Party committee and the municipal government allocated funds to repair a number of patriotism education bases on the eve of the 60th anniversary of the founding of new China. Therefore, this column will publish a glimpse of a number of patriotic education bases in our city from today on.
