Shishi municipal archives is a department of Shishi Municipal People's government.

Established in 1991, Shishi municipal archives, as a public institution subordinate to the municipal government office, has five staff members, who are mainly responsible for the collection, collation, storage and utilization of the archives of the municipal government and the municipal government office. After the opening of Shishi public service building in 1999, the archives arranged to use the third floor of the building as a transitional building, and gradually carried out the supervision, guidance and service of external archives. In 2002, it was upgraded to a public institution at the deputy section level in the county-level institutional reform, with 6 staff. In May 2005, it was determined to be a department level unit, fully known as Shishi Municipal Archives Bureau (Library), with three departments, including comprehensive unit, supervision and guidance unit, and technology utilization unit, and 10 personnel.
