Historical development
In ancient times, yishala was just a small tribe of Yi people. Lipo Yi people gradually migrated from Ailao Mountain along the route of ancestors' soul sending. In order to avoid the cruel and merciless killing of ethnic minorities by the rulers, many lipo Yi people fled to gather here and took root here. Here, the tiger totem, the sun totem and the fire god worship of Yi people have been followed, and the religious emotion of animism has been followed.
The wind and smoke of history are drifting gently, and many passers-by leave footprints in yishala.
During the reign of Emperor Wu of the Western Han Dynasty (about 135 A.D.), it is recorded in the book of pinghuai in historical records: "in Tang and Meng dynasties, Sima Xiangru opened the way to the southwest, chiseled the mountain passage for more than 1000 Li, and widened Bashu." The Southern Silk Road opened up passed yishala, and a post station was set up here. Back then, Sima Xiangru, a writer, came to yishala Yi People's cottage in ancient woods. He drank, sang and danced with the Yi people, and then sang poems and wrote Fu. Think how happy he is!
Shu Han "Jianxing three years (AD 225 years) spring, Liang Southern expedition." Zhuge Liang, the Prime Minister of Shu, led his troops to "cross Lu in May and go deep into Bumao" in order to quell the rebellion of Nanyi. "From Anshang (now Pingshan) by water (Jinsha River) to Vietnam (home)" also passed here.
More than 600 years ago, after "Hongwu opened Yunnan" in the Ming Dynasty, some frontier guards of other ethnic groups also lived here, intermarried with local people, and integrated into the family of Lipo Yi people. They brought new farming civilization and Jiangnan architectural art. The southern style of yishala architecture can still be seen.
In the Qing Dynasty, it was divided into the jurisdiction of "Juque ten horses". The horse Gang came and went on the tea horse road and flourished for a time. Therefore, yishala has become a famous place for horse gangs. How many horse drivers left yishala without any news and died in foreign countries. Those passed down ditty trance is witness:
Woman: Xiao Lang drives his horse. When I go a long way, my sister looks at him and cries. Man: when I saw my sister crying, I felt bitter. I left a silver bracelet to go on the road.
Woman: leave the silver bracelet, sister
