Qingyin Pavilion
Qingyin Pavilion, located at the foot of niuxinling, Emei Mountain, Sichuan Province, China, is 710 meters above sea level, also known as woyun temple. It was named niuxin temple in Tang Dynasty (now niuxin temple is houniuxin Temple). In the early Ming Dynasty, monk Guangji changed its name to Qingyin Pavilion. Qingyin Pavilion has only one hall, and there is "jiewang Pavilion" in front of it. Although Qingyin Pavilion is small, its terrain is dangerous, commanding, imposing, surrounded by mountains and water, with beautiful scenery Its overall layout reflects the artistic conception of "nature and harmony between man and nature". It is a model of Buddhist temple garden architecture in China. It has the "double bridge voiceless" which is one of the ten scenic spots of Mount Emei.
Basic introduction
Qingyin Pavilion is located at the confluence of Hei and Bai rivers at the foot of niuxinling in Emei Mountain. It was named niuxin temple in the Tang Dynasty, and it was changed into woyun Temple by Zen master Huitong in Jiangling in the Tang Dynasty. In the Ming Dynasty, Zen master Guangji changed the name of the temple to Qingyin Pavilion by taking the word "Qingyin" from "why silk and bamboo, mountains and rivers have Qingyin" in Zuo Si's poems for reclusions.
In history, the pavilion was on fire three times, and now it was rebuilt after 1917. Due to the limitation of the terrain, Qingyin pavilion has only one hall dedicated to the three saints of Huayan, Sakyamuni Buddha in the middle, Manjusri Bodhisattva on the left, and Puxian Bodhisattva on the right.
In addition, there is "jiewang Pavilion" in front of the pavilion. "Emei Jialan Ji" says: "you used to have a king's pavilion. Who is the king? It's Haiqing Wuge, the bodyguard in front of the emperor." That is to say, at that time, Prince Wuge of Haiqing paid homage to Mount Emei at the order of Emperor Kangxi. In order to meet him, monks "demolished the old Pavilion and rebuilt a new one and named it" jiewang Pavilion ".
In August 1992, a new three storey guest house was built.
Historical allusions
In the third year of Qiande (965) of the Northern Song Dynasty, Zhao Kuangyin, the Emperor Taizong of the Song Dynasty, called Jiye Sanzang, a monk of Tianshou temple in Tokyo (now Kaifeng, Henan Province), to seek Buddhist relics and Beiye scriptures in Tianzhu. Jiye and his party brought back a large number of sutras and Buddhist bone relics from India to worship the imperial court. Zhao Guangyi, the Emperor Taizong of the Song Dynasty, ordered them to cultivate in their famous mountains. After touring the famous mountains and rivers of the motherland, Jiye settled down in Yanfu courtyard of Emei Mountain Because of the intersection of black and white water in front of Xiangzhong temple, he vowed to build a new temple here to support him for life. After the completion of the temple, it was named qianniuxin temple.
In 1369, monk Guangji of Longxing Temple (Zhu Yuanzhang once became a monk here, later renamed Huangjue Temple) came to Mount Emei and settled here. It is said that Guangji had a close relationship with Zhu Yuanzhang, the emperor of Ming Dynasty. After Zhu Yuanzhang became emperor, Guangji refused to accept Zhu Yuanzhang's edict, so he went to Mount Emei to meditate here.
According to the natural features of the mountains and waters around the temple, Guangji Chan Master also saw the harmony of pavilions, platforms, buildings, pavilions and flowing water. That is to say, he changed the name of the temple to Qingyin Pavilion by taking the word "Qingyin" from the poem "why silk and bamboo, mountains and waters have Qingyin" in Zuo Si's poem of Zhaoyin "in Jin Dynasty.
Wonderful scenery
Listening to "Qingyin" late at night in Qingyin Pavilion is the best prime time. As early as 1200 years ago, many people were there: in the early Tang Dynasty, eminent monks inherited Sanzang and came back from India to study scriptures. They often believed that they were in the echo nunnery behind da'e temple. Listening to Qingyin at night has become his hobby. He always comes to the temple and goes back and forth for more than 60 miles, rain or shine. There is also a beautiful legend: on a month's autumn night, he listens to Qingyin and returns to the nunnery.
At the confluence of the black and white rivers, I happily found a strange stone. It was as beautiful as a human face. I vividly called it out. I thought it was the most precious treasure. Before the sacrifice, the place where I saw the stone was named "baoxianxi".
Today, although the human face gems are missing, the place name "baoxianxi" can not be erased, and people are still excited to listen to Qingyin.
In Qingyin Pavilion, you can see the beautiful scenery, smell the fragrance of flowers and plants, hear the sound of flowing spring, and touch the pavilions and steles. It focuses on the beauty of vision, hearing and smell, so that tourists can get the overall aesthetic feeling of the scenery of Emei; ancient and modern tourists are often praised as "the first scenery of Mount Emei".
Surrounding scenery
High, exquisite pavilions.
In the middle part, there are two pavilions in the center of the red mansion with red eaves. On both sides of the pavilion, there is a stone bridge, which spans the black and white waters. It is shaped like two wings, so it is called Shuangfei bridge.
The close-up view shows the black and white water converging under the niuxin Pavilion. On the right side, Heishui comes from Heilongtan under jiulaodong cave, around hongchunping, with the color of water like Dai, also known as Heilongjiang; on the left side, Baishui comes from Sancha River under Gongbei mountain, around Wannian temple, with the color of water white, also known as Bailong River.
The confluence of the two rivers impacts the huge stone like a cow's heart in the Bitan, leaving the black and white water surging and still standing, forming a unique temple, landscape and garden environment.
Liu Guangdi, one of the "Six Gentlemen of the 1898 movement", skillfully summed up the two bridges and one stone as "two bridges and two rainbow shadows, one ox heart forever".
This picturesque "Shuangqiao Qingyin" is one of the "ten scenic spots of Emei Mountain"; all the year round, no matter day or night, the sound of water reverberates, which is single and clear. With the two bridges, it is known as "Shuangqiao Qingyin" and becomes one of the ten scenic spots of Emei.
