Fuxing Township

Fuxing Manchu Township is located in the Sanjiang Plain of northeast Heilongjiang Province, China. Under the jurisdiction of Suibin County, it is the only minority Township in Suibin county. Fuxing township is located on the South Bank of Heilongjiang Province, across from Russia. There are many nationalities in the township, mainly Han and Manchu, of which the Manchu population accounts for more than 60%.

Scenic Spots and Historical Sites

Tongren ancient city site, located in the South Bank of Heilongjiang Province, is a provincial key cultural relics protection unit. Tongren culture is a new type of Culture named by the archaeologists in the world. In 1973, the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the archaeological team of the Provincial Museum excavated three house sites, which were determined by carbon-14 as the cultural relics of the northern and Southern Dynasties period of the Wuji people, and were the first contact of the Wuji people's culture in China's archaeological circles.

Historical evolution

The name of Fuxing Township comes from the name of Fuxing village. Fuxing village, formerly known as "Lijiayao", is under the jurisdiction of Luobei county. In 1917, it was under the jurisdiction of Suidong Administrative Bureau. In January 1929, it was transferred to Suibin county. In the late period of the Japanese occupation of Northeast China, Fuxing village was under the jurisdiction of Fuxing village. After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945, Fuxing district was set up and merged into Jifu District in 1947. In June 1949, after Suibin county was abolished, it was transferred to Fujin county and changed into the fourteenth district. In April 1956, Fuxing township was set up by combining villages with townships. In September 1958, he joined Heilongjiang People's commune. It was incorporated into Suibin farm in 1960. In 1962, the field and society were separated and belonged to Jixian commune. At the same time, Jixian commune was renamed Zhongren commune. After the restoration of Suibin County in 1964, it was under the jurisdiction of Suibin county. In 1966, it was transferred from Zhongren commune to Fuxing commune. In February 1984, it was changed to Fuxing township. In August 1986, it was changed into Fuxing Manchu Township because it is a place where Manchu people live together
