Tai Po reservoir
Dapu reservoir, commonly known as Emei lake, is located in Huguang and Fuxing villages of Emei Township, Xinzhu county. It is constructed by intercepting the upstream stream of Emei river.
Introduction to scenic spots
The reservoir is 98.8 meters long and 24.4 meters high, with four gates. It mainly irrigates the farmland of Xiangshan, Baoshan, Zhunan and Toufen, and has the function of flood storage and drainage.
The water area of Dapu reservoir varies in width. It connects the two banks by means of a cable bridge. There are many small islands with luxuriant vegetation in the lake. From afar, it looks like green beads scattered in the blue waves. In the southwest of the reservoir, there is a flat grassland for camping. To the East, the lake is blue, and to the west, the mountains are verdant. It is refreshing to see all the green. Those who want to camp need to bring their own equipment and report to the police station in advance.
Fuxing community on the North Bank of the reservoir is famous for planting Fuxing tea. There is a Fuxin tea factory in the area, which covers an area of 1000 Ping. Those who like to taste tea can have a taste.
Traffic information
From Toufen interchange road to the expressway, follow 124 county road to Shanzhu lake, and take provincial road 3 to Zhudong to reach the entrance of the reservoir dam, that is, the entrance station of Emei lake. Continue 2.2 km to reach the dam, and the whole journey is about 11.6 km.
