Zhuqi Township

Zhuqi township is under the jurisdiction of Chiayi County in Taiwan. The township is located in the northeast mountain area of Jiayi County, with a land area of 162.2256 square kilometers, adjacent to Meishan Township, Minxiong Township, Fanlu Township and Alishan township.

Zhuqi township is one of the 18 towns and cities under the jurisdiction of Chiayi County in Taiwan. It is located in the northeast of Chiayi County near the mountain. The old name of zhutouqi originated from the place name. Because the local topography is hillside, and there are many bamboo forests, after cutting and reclamation, zhutouqi is preserved everywhere, so it is called zhutouqi.

history

In the Ming and Zheng dynasties, Takezaki belonged to Tianxing County, while in the early Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Zhuluo county. In the middle period of the Japanese rule, zhutouqi District, Damu Genbao, Jiayi hall, was set up. On October 1, 1920, the local administrative region was restructured into Zhuqi village, Jiayi County, Tainan Prefecture. After the war, it was renamed Zhuqi Township, which belongs to Tainan County. On October 25, 1950, Tainan County was divided into Yunlin, Jiayi and Tainan counties, and Zhuqi belonged to Jiayi county.
