Xiajiang Village

Xiajiang village has a history of more than 800 years. Located in the southwest of Chun'an County, 41 kilometers away from the county seat, it belongs to Fengshuling Town, 2.5 kilometers away from the seat of the town government. In 2007, the village scale was adjusted, which was formed by the merger of Xiajiang, zhaer, Yijia and houlongkeng. It covers an area of 10.76 square kilometers.

In November 2017, Xiajiang village was awarded the fifth national civilized village.

On October 8, 2018, after local recommendation and expert review, the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas plans to promote Xiajiang village as a beautiful leisure village in China in 2018.

On December 24, 2019, it was selected into the list of national rural governance demonstration villages.

Village profile

According to the genealogical records, Xiajiang village began in the Jingkang period of the Northern Song Dynasty (1126-1127) when the Jiang family of Weishui County moved from Sichuan to yashuli (now Shangjiang Village). It was named "yashuijiang village" in the Qianlong period (1736-1795). The village has 645 mu of arable land and 10259 mu of mountain forest, of which more than 7100 Mu are national ecological public welfare forest dominated by natural forest, with a forest coverage rate of 97%. The village has a population of 231 households, 768 people and 558 labor force. The villagers are mainly Jiang, Yu, Yang, Yi and Wu. In 2015, the total economic income of the whole village was 40.0762 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 21.125 yuan. The income mainly came from tourism, tea, sericulture and traditional Chinese medicine. The per capita net income of farmers was in the forefront of Fengshuling town.

As the grassroots contact point of the four secretaries of Zhejiang provincial Party committee, Xiajiang village has been entrusted with the ardent expectations and requirements of the superior leaders. It has successively won the titles of "national leading and advanced grassroots party organization" and "beautiful village" in Zhejiang Province. Xiajiang dream has won ten new tourist attractions of Qiandao Lake. In 2015, it successfully passed the acceptance of national AAA scenic spot,, In 2016, Xiajiang was listed as the on-site teaching demonstration base of Zhejiang provincial Party school, and in 2017, it became the "red, green and blue" on-site teaching base of Hangzhou. Xiajiang Scenic Area Management Co., Ltd. was established in May 2016 to implement "Five Unifications" management. At present, there are 23 B & B hotels in the village, including "Jiujiu B & B Langqiao Xiyu" and "Qishe" two boutique B & B hotels, with a total of 398 beds. In the village, you can experience farming experience activities, such as playing Machi, making zongzi, making rice dumplings, opening honey, cattle farming, riding in the canyon, water entertainment and so on.

On July 28, 2019, Xiajiang village was selected into the list of the first batch of key Rural Tourism Villages in China.

On December 24, 2019, it was selected into the list of national rural governance demonstration villages.

On December 25, 2019, it will be included in the first batch of National Forest Village list.

On March 31, 2020, the Promotion Department of rural social undertakings of the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas announced it as "an excellent typical case of the construction of rural civilization" at the national village level ".
