Jiaozuo road and mine school

On February 25, 1909, Henan negotiation Bureau of the Qing government signed a special article on handling affairs after seeing coal between Henan negotiation Westernization Bureau and Fu company. Article 8 of the article stipulates that "the road and mining school is to be opened in the spring of this year."

On March 1, 1909, Fuk company founded Jiaozuo road and mine school in accordance with the above provisions. Tian Cheng was the first Supervisor (Headmaster), set up a mining discipline, and enrolled 20 students in the first batch.

On May 7, 1915, Fuzhong company was formed by Fuzhong company and Zhongyuan company. The school was renamed Henan Fuzhong mining school, which was directly under the jurisdiction of Henan negotiation Department of the Ministry of foreign affairs.

In 1919, Henan Fuzhong mining school changed its name to Fuzhong mining school.

In 1921, the school changed its name to Fuzhong Mining University.

Jiaozuo Institute of Technology

In 1931, with the approval of the Ministry of education, the school changed its name to "private Jiaozuo Institute of technology". The school set up a board of directors, with Liu Shi, President of Henan Province, as its chairman.

In 1933, according to the regulations of the Ministry of education, Jiaozuo Institute of technology changed its department to mining metallurgy department and civil engineering department.

In May 1936, Jiaozuo Institute of technology adjusted its department. The Department of mining and metallurgy was divided into the Department of mining and metallurgy, and the Department of civil engineering was divided into the Department of road engineering and the Department of water conservancy.

In October 1937, the Anti Japanese war broke out, and the College moved to Shaanxi.

In July 1938, the Ministry of Education decided to combine Jiaozuo Institute of technology with the Institute of technology of Peking University, Beiyang Institute of technology and the Institute of technology of Northeast University to establish the national Northwest Institute of technology.

In August 1946, after the victory of the Anti Japanese War, Jiaozuo Institute of technology temporarily resumed its school in Guanlin, Luoyang, Henan Province.

In September 1949, Jiaozuo Institute of technology moved back to Jiaozuo and changed its name to national Jiaozuo Institute of technology.

In January 1950, Jiaozuo Institute of technology was under the leadership of the Ministry of fuel industry of the Central People's government.

In March 1950, North China Coal Mine college was merged into Jiaozuo Institute of technology.

In September 1950, Jiaozuo Institute of technology changed its name to China Institute of mining and technology according to the notice of the Ministry of fuel industry.

In February 1951, the main body of China University of mining and technology moved to Tianjin and Jiaozuo continued to run the school.

In September 1958, the CPC Henan Provincial Committee approved the reorganization of Jiaozuo Institute of technology and established a new name of Jiaozuo Institute of mining.

In March 1959, Jiaozuo coal mine school was merged into Jiaozuo Mining College.

In 1959, Jiaozuo coal mine school of the Ministry of fuel industry was merged into Jiaozuo Mining College.

In September 1959, Jiaozuo Mining Institute was under the leadership of the Ministry of coal industry.

In October 1961, Zhengzhou Coal Industry College was merged into Jiaozuo Mining College.

From 1966 to 1971, enrollment was stopped.

From 1972 to 1976, the school enrolled five sessions of "workers, peasants and soldiers" in five provinces (districts) of central and southern China, and practiced "open school".

In 1979, the first graduate students were recruited.

On April 5, 1995, with the approval of the State Education Commission, Jiaozuo Institute of mining and technology resumed its name.

In December 2004, the university accepted the evaluation of undergraduate teaching level of the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China, and obtained excellent results.

In 2003, the University obtained the right to confer doctoral degree.

Henan University of Technology

In May 2004, with the approval of the Ministry of education, Jiaozuo Institute of technology was renamed as Henan University of technology.

On June 16, 2011, Henan Provincial People's government signed a contract with the State Administration of work safety to jointly build Henan University of technology.
