Tonghua health school and Tonghua Medical College of Jilin University are located in the south of Tonghua City, 1597 Baoan Road, Dongchang District. It was founded in 1958 and merged with Tonghua Medical College in 1971 to form Tonghua (District) health school. In 1988, it has jointly run schools with Bethune Medical University (now Jilin University), Changchun staff Medical University, Changchun medical college and Beihua University. In 1988, the Tonghua branch of Bethune Medical University was established, and in 1998, it was promoted to the provincial key school. Tonghua Medical College of Jilin University was established in 2001. It passed the provincial model school acceptance in 2005 and was named "provincial key secondary vocational school" in February 2006.

Main construction

The school has a long history, complete specialties, strong teaching staff, increasing enrollment rate of students (students) every year, various school running forms, first-class modern teaching, experimental and practical training conditions, and a beautiful and comfortable working and learning environment. The school covers an area of 12.49 hectares, with a total construction area of nearly 40000 square meters. The school has a collection of 63000 books and 50000 e-books. There are 18 administrative departments, 29 teaching and research sections, 28 laboratories, 48 multimedia classrooms, and modern teaching facilities such as standardized computer room, voice room and campus network.

The school has three levels of Education: General technical secondary school, junior college and adult college, undergraduate, and 18 majors, including clinical medicine, Stomatology, middle and advanced nursing, integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine, medical cosmetology, pharmacy, inspection, etc.

The school has a team of excellent teachers, and four scientific research achievements have won the scientific and technological progress awards of the United Nations, the state, the Ministry of health and the provincial level, which has filled the blank of mycology and mycology in the world. Development history

History of Tonghua health school (1986-2007)

In 1986, the former health education school was merged to develop its scale. The school covers an area of 4000 square meters and a building area of 7641.25 square meters. There are 1214 students, 180 teaching staff, including 3 senior lecturers and 27 lecturers. There are 10 administrative departments including party office, Youth League Committee, President's office, Student Affairs Office, financial infrastructure department, security department, general affairs office, educational affairs office, vocational education department and labor service company. This year, we cooperated with Yanbian medical college to open a four-year correspondence course. In 1988, the University ran a multi-level and multi-channel school, and opened the orientation college class of Bethune Medical University, the class of traditional Chinese medicine in Changchun College of traditional Chinese medicine, and the class of advanced nursing in Jilin Medical College. In 1989, the school was jointly run by Yanbian Medical College, Changchun staff and workers University and other five universities, forming a systematic school running system with health school as the main part and the combination of upper and lower levels. The number of students in technical secondary school reached 1260. The joint school running of the school and Bethune Medical University has made new development, and the Tonghua branch of Bethune Medical University was established. In 1992, it was rated as a basically qualified school by the Provincial Education Commission. In 1999, Tonghua health school was approved by the provincial government as a key technical secondary school. In 2001, Tonghua municipal government signed an agreement with Jilin University to establish Tonghua medical college. In order to improve teaching, at the end of 2004, the school equipped every teacher with a notebook computer, striding into the application of multimedia courseware in modern teaching.

College expansion

The new campus will be built in September of this year. It was completed and put into operation on August 10, 2005. The new campus covers an area of 124900 square meters, with a total construction area of nearly 40000 square meters. The experimental building covers an area of 6395 square meters, the office building covers an area of 6217 square meters, the teaching building covers an area of 6932 square meters, the gymnasium covers an area of 2600 square meters, the student apartment covers an area of 20823.5 square meters, and the canteen covers an area of 3498 square meters. There is a standard 400m sports field, a football field, 4 basketball and volleyball fields, 2 tennis and badminton courts. There are 44 standard classrooms in the teaching building, including 8 large classrooms and 4 step classrooms. All classrooms are equipped with computer teaching equipment and monitoring equipment.

In 2005, the school has 28 laboratories, including anatomy, pathology, medicinal plants, medicinal chemistry and multimedia voice room, nursing multimedia classroom, oral laboratory conditions and equipment have reached the domestic advanced level. The school library has a collection of 63000 books and more than 50000 e-books, which can be borrowed and downloaded by teachers and students on the campus network.

Teaching staff

There are 125 full-time teachers, including 43 senior lecturers, 51 lecturers and 4 masters. 10 of them hold posts in various professional societies at or above the provincial level.
