Huanglin ancient village

Ruian huanglin ancient village (also known as huanglin), 70 kilometers away from Wenzhou, is an ancient village in Qing Dynasty. Back to the mountain and facing the water, the environment is quiet and the scenery is simple. The canyon behind the village is called Qixingtan. There is a bamboo bridge on the stream and a farmhouse beside the bridge, providing tourists with one-stop service of eating farmhouse food and living in farmhouse.

brief introduction

Huanglin ancient village is located in the western mountain of Guifeng Township, more than 700 meters above sea level, about 30 kilometers away from Huling town and 70 kilometers away from Ruian City. Take Ruifeng line, cross Huling market town, go to Liuke of Yong'an, and you can get there by turntable mountain cement road. It's about 2 hours' drive.

Long history

The village was built in Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty. There are nearly 100 buildings in the late Qing Dynasty. It is a large-scale and well preserved village, which is very rare in Ruian. More than 100 old houses with green tiles and stone walls are scattered in the village. These old wooden houses are stacked on top of each other

Facing south, there are seven, nine, and the largest ten. They are scattered along the hillside. The paths between villages are paved with pebbles. Stone walls and stone roads are full of stones. After being washed by wind and rain, the stone walls are colorful, like oil paintings. Huanglin people have been walking along the stone road from the past to today. There were more than 1000 people living in the village when it was the largest. Now there are only more than 60 people living in the village. Most of them leave huanglin, and there are about 400 people abroad. There is an old maple tree at the entrance of the village. It has been standing upright for hundreds of years. The stream passes through the root of the tree and stops to form a deep pool. An iron bridge connects the two sides of the river. There is a small temple at each end of the bridge. One is Yangfu temple, which was first built in 1789, and the other is Niangniang Temple, which was also built in the Qing Dynasty. It has experienced the same vicissitudes of time. Small bridges, flowing water, people, ancient temples, old trees, mossy rocks It's so simple and harmonious. It's a wonderful rural style painting. It's fascinating.

Deep mountain canyon

Drive along the Panshan highway to huanglin village. There are many green mountains along the way. A deep and steep gorge is winding in the mountains. The green stream is exciting. Reflected in the bamboo forest, there is a long Canyon behind the village. The clear water flows slowly and leisurely across the front of the village, adding an old and vibrant spirit to huanglin village. Villagers have built a dam in the stream. From time to time, people can see the white spray splashed by the stream when it crosses the dam, and make a pleasant sound. Visitors can play in the stream. The stream in front of the village is the source of jinchaogang, a tributary of Feiyun River. The downstream of the stream is huanglin hydropower station, which can store water directly to the foot of the village. Upstream, the water is clear and green, without any pollution, and can be drunk directly. Both sides of the stream are beautiful with dense forest vegetation. In the depth of the stream, there is a seven star pool, which is composed of seven water pools in the mountains with large drop. The seven pools are connected with beads, and each pool has its own scenery. The bottom of the pool is covered with colorful rocks and clear water, which is comparable to Huanglong five color pool.

Ecological leisure

There are three ridges in huanglin, which lead to the top of the sky. In the past, huanglin was almost isolated from the outside world, like a paradise. Now with the opening of the road to the village, more and more tourists from outside the mountain come for leisure and sightseeing. People in the village still live a farming life of rising at sunrise and resting at sunset. Fish farming is carried out in paddy fields on hillside terraces, and the rice and vegetables planted are pure green food. The village has more than 13000 mu of forest, suitable for development

The closed geographical environment of sheep breeding is also suitable for the development of ecological breeding of local chicken breeds. At present, the village is collecting eggs to incubate chickens, preparing to establish a local chicken brand. The government of Guifeng township has positioned huanglin as an ecological village integrating ecology, leisure, sightseeing and agritainment. Huanglin agritainment has been built and opened to the outside world, providing tourists with one-stop service of eating farm food and living in farm houses.
