Mr. Mao Dun is the proudest son of Wuzhen. Taking the road of life and literature as the main line, the Pavilion shows Mr. Mao Dun's magnificent life. On the left side of the memorial hall is the study used by Mao Dun, which is restored and arranged according to the pattern of Mao Dun's former residence in Beijing. The room on the right side of the memorial hall is the exhibition hall displaying Mao Dun's relics. The jade plates and porcelain on the Bogu shelf were given by friends who visited various countries when Mao Dun was Minister of culture. There are four players on the left side of the exhibition hall. You can listen to Mr. Mao's story about the origin of his pseudonym "Mao Dun" and the beginning of his creative career.
The newly built Maodun memorial hall is located in Wuzhen scenic area, with a construction area of 1000 square meters and two floors. The first floor is divided into four parts. One is a relic exhibition area. In addition to displaying some of Mao Dun's relic, four players are also set up so that visitors can listen to Mao Dun's voice before he died. The other is a study of Mao Dun's old age, which is restored according to the real scene of his former residence in Beijing, showing his writing environment in his later years.
On both sides of the two rooms are the photo exhibitions of Mao Dun's "road to life" and "road to Literature", which show Mao Dun's colorful life from multiple perspectives.
The theme display on the first floor is a portrait of Mao Dun carved in white marble. The background is a letter written by Mao Dun to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China before he died, asking him to be recognized as a member of the Communist Party of China.
The second floor is divided into three parts, one is the exhibition of Mao Dun's calligraphy and seal cutting, the other is the exhibition of twelve giant portraits of Mao Dun, and the middle part is the screening hall.
The memorial hall collected 59 pieces of Mao Dun's relics, nearly 90 pictures, and nearly 1000 volumes of Mao Dun's works and related books, most of which were donated by Mao Dun's son Wei Tao.
