Fenglong old house
Fenglong is located on the Bank of Wanquan River in Qionghai City, Hainan Province. In the village, there are 23 century old houses, large and small, and 30 cross corridor cottages, which were built in the late Qing Dynasty. The construction area is about 2000 square meters. After a hundred years of wind and rain, the old house is still well preserved and has become a rare sight in the local area.
Architectural features
Most of these 100 year old houses follow the typical brick and wood architectural style of southern China in the late Qing Dynasty. They are pointed roof, four corner cornices, "floating head" (auspicious patterns on both sides of the outer end of the roof) and face the blue sky. There are no corridors in the front and back, double leaf wooden windows, main hall in the middle, 11 tile roads in the left and right bedrooms, no matter how long the houses are. Most of the stringers for building houses are made of superior wood such as Mu Sheng, Lu Nan and you Dan. The main hall is divided into the front hall, the back hall, the rear hall, and the upper wood plank. The ceiling is set up in the temple, which is for the ancestral shrines and incense shrines. The shrine is made of the best jackfruit wood wood Seiko, antique. In addition to the exquisitely designed eight immortals table, the main hall is also equipped with Taishi chairs made of black salt or Youdan wood on both sides.
Most of the walls of the main hall are decorated with brick marks. The stringers of the main hall and the eaves of the front and rear walls are painted with exquisite patterns. The paintings are full of spring, simplicity and emptiness, or spirituality. They are full of beauty.
Murals full of life interest. Jiaji Duck, Wanquanhe carp, shrimp and crab can be painted here, which is closely related to the murals of life and always gives people a sense of intimacy. Although it has been a hundred years, the color of the murals is still as uniform and bright as ever, reflecting each other with those ancient furniture, and the room is full of brilliance.
If you walk into an old house at will, you will see the tables, carved window frames and Taishi chairs of the late Qing Dynasty, as well as the old red silk embroidered table skirts, silk tablecloths, the hundred son bed of dragon and Phoenix, the bride's dowry box, penholder, folk hat, plaque, stone mill, bronze bell, chandelier, bamboo and soil structure, and the old women's three inch Golden Lotus shoes
