Darzong Lake

Darzong lake is located in the south of the West foot of kemiyari village, Dazong village, wanggetang Township, Xiahe County. It is known as "biyumanzha Lake" in Tibetan area. The lake is 3000 meters above sea level, about 300 meters long from north to south, varying in width from east to west, and the widest part is nearly 100 meters. The lake covers an area of about 40 mu, in the shape of an irregular calabash vine.

Darzong lake is indistinctly visible in the light white mist. Like a mirror, it is known as the "biyumanzha Lake" in Tibetan areas. Darzong lake is surrounded by towering pines and cypresses, twining vines and shrubs. On the edge of the lake, there is a soft, green grassland and an arrow platform for worshiping mountain gods. The lake has more than 40 mu, about 300 meters long from south to north, and about 100 meters wide. The whole lake is irregular gourd shaped, and its water is immeasurable. Sometimes she is rippling and graceful, sometimes flat as a mirror, just like a quiet and gentle girl. The blue and clear lake reflects the lofty mountains, blue sky, white clouds and herds of cattle and sheep in the water, just like a beautiful pastoral picture. The environment here is quiet and sparsely populated. It is a good place for wild animals to breed and inhabit.

With the opening of the road from Xiahe County to dalzonghu mountain, the mysterious and charming dalzonghu lake has gradually opened its mysterious veil and become known to the world. The closed and quiet dalzonghu lake has ushered in a large number of tourists to explore and range. There are more than ten families in the small Tibetan village of darzong. The villagers guard the Shenhu lake for generations and live a pastoral life. It has vast grassland, fertile farmland and wide forest coverage. Most of the villagers live in affluence. About 2 kilometers from the village, you can see the dalzong lake. Along the way, the mountains of wild flowers swaying with the wind, the smell of wild flowers floating in the air; tits chirping, cattle and sheep moo, people and nature live in harmony. Along the way, the winding path leads to seclusion. There is a feeling of "mountains and rivers are complex, and there is no way". When you turn around, there will be "another village with dark willows and bright flowers".

Historical legend

Dalzong lake is not only beautiful, but also has a mysterious legend. It is said that in ancient times, two beautiful fairies came out of the palace to play. They stepped on the auspicious clouds and floated to the sky above darzong lake. They were fascinated by the scenery here. They pressed the auspicious clouds to talk with the birds, sang to the wild flowers, and combed their long hair by the stream. After cleaning up, they reluctantly flew back to the heavenly palace. However, my sister's dressing mirror was taken back, but my sister's mirror was forgotten here. Later, the mirror beside the stream became dalzong lake, and a big pit next to it was where my sister let go the mirror.

humanity

The lamas and local people of Labrang Temple regard darzong Lake as the holy lake under the holy mountain. They often come to the lake to pray, simmer mulberry and chant scriptures, and throw grain sacrifices to pray for peace. Every year in the sixth month of the lunar calendar, local villagers cut arrows and simmer mulberry beside the lake to offer sacrifices to mountain gods and pray for the safety of people and animals and the bumper harvest of grain. Tourists must not wash their hands and face in the lake, otherwise they will be regarded as disrespectful to the lake and will be severely criticized by the villagers. In darzong lake, visitors can throw themselves into the embrace of nature, eliminate all troubles, feel a sense of tranquility and indulge in the charming scenery created by nature!

It's about 149 kilometers from Lanzhou to Linxia. You can take it at Lanzhou east bus station or west bus station. There are many departures every day, but they basically leave in the first half of the day. When you get to Linxia, you can transfer to Xiahe or a cooperative bus. Linxia to Xiahe bus or more, journey about 3 hours. When you enter Gannan, the preferred transit city is Lanzhou. At the South Station of Lanzhou bus station (take the bus in Lanzhou to Xiaoxihu, the ticket price is 1 yuan, and then transfer to 111 at Xiaoxihu, the ticket price is 0.5 yuan), you can transfer to Chengdu, Sichuan, Linxia, Gansu, or you can get to Xiahe, Gannan. No matter which city is taken as the starting point, you should have a detailed understanding of the bus frequency before taking the bus, and be prepared for the long journey and hard journey.
