Construction process
Shennan Avenue is known as a business card of Shenzhen. The commonly known "Shennan Road" includes "Shennan Avenue", "Shennan middle road" and "Shennan East Road", corresponding to the section from Nantou checkpoint to Huanggang (about 19.5 km), Huanggang road to Hongling (about 4.5 km) and Hongling Road to Yanhe (about 3.8 km). Shennan Road becomes the coordinate axis of this city, just like Chang'an Avenue to Beijing and Oriental Pearl to Shanghai. When the sun rises, Shennan Avenue is bright and clear, and all kinds of flowers are gorgeous; when the night falls, countless neon lights come to us, all of them are brilliant. Shennan Avenue becomes the landscape and window of the city. It not only has the function of transportation, but also shows all the wonderful movies in the city. It focuses on the classics of the city.
After the founding of Shenzhen in 1979, in order not to let the flying dust "choke back" the Hong Kong businessmen who had just crossed the Luohu bridge, the municipal government decided to transform the 107 National Road from Shenzhen to Guangzhou. As a result, asphalt was paved on the gravel road from Caiwuwei to Shangbu 2.1 km, which gave birth to the "Shennan Road" and made the "foundation stone" of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone.
From 1982 to 1985, the first expansion project was completed, and the newly opened Shanghai Hotel became the coordinates of the urban and suburban areas, the present and future boundary pillar; before the Spring Festival in 1987, Shenzhen City raised the railway with viaduct, and the Shennan Avenue with a total length of 6.8 km was proud to be called "ten mile long street" by Shenzhen people; after 1992, a section of road from Shanghai hotel to Nantou ancient city was built until January 1 In 1994, Shennan Avenue with a total length of 25.6 km was opened up and crossed with 48 municipal roads in the north-south direction. Since then, Shennan Avenue has become the landscape and window of the city. It not only has the function of transportation, but also shows all the wonderful film tapes of the city, slowly showing the economy of the city.
After the founding of Shenzhen in 1979, in order not to let the flying dust "choke back" the Hong Kong businessmen who had just crossed the Luohu bridge, the Shenzhen municipal government decided to transform the 107 National Road from Shenzhen to Guangzhou. The 2.1km gravel road from Caiwuwei to the planned Shangbu industrial zone was paved with asphalt. Shennan Avenue was born, known as "Shennan Road". This is the foundation stone of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, and politics, economy and culture will extend and ascend along this road. The reconstruction of national highway 107 is just to lay asphalt on the gravel road for bicycle walking. Even such a simple "rough machining" also encountered resistance. The road has to pass through Caiwuwei village. Some local village officials and villagers in Shenzhen think that the village passes through the road and destroys Fengshui. They ask Feng Shutai, the Party branch secretary of the brigade, to write a letter to the Central Committee to resolutely oppose road construction. At the meeting, Feng Shutai emphasized the need for an overall concept, which eventually convinced the villagers and removed the "concept barrier" for the birth of Shennan Avenue. In 1982, Shennan Road was seen from the west to the East. As for why this section of road was called Shennan Avenue, Yu Wanjun, former chief planner of Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of planning and land, said, "at first, we didn't think of a name for this road. Because Shenzhen Special Economic Zone starts from Beizijiao of Dapeng Bay in the East and ends at Nantou Yijia village in the West. This road is also planned to be built from the original Shenzhen town to Nantou, so it is called Shennan Road, and all the way down. "
In July 1979, the "sixth construction team of Lufeng construction", the first one to set foot on the land of Shenzhen, undertook the task of opening Shennan Avenue, and wrote the first record in the history of entrepreneurship in Shenzhen. There are no roads at the construction site, no cars for transportation, and thousands of earth and stone are pulled away by trucks. "It's time to sprinkle asphalt, but where was the oiler then?" Ye Jianguo, the old team leader, said, "our sixth team welded a soil funnel with iron sheet, which weighed 20 jin. Let two people with good body lift their arms straight to operate. One day, a oiler couldn't take off his rubber shoes. It turns out that the asphalt melts the rubber shoes and sticks the trousers. "
In 1980, the first section of Shennan Road from Caiwuwei to the then Shangbu industrial zone was completed. It was only 2.1km long and 7m wide. It was only enough for two cars to run back and forth. However, at that time, it was the longest road in the SAR.
In 1981, what we saw on Shennan Avenue were only low tile roofed houses, clumps of shrubs, dense weeds, and hardened land At that time, Shennan Avenue couldn't be called Avenue, it was just a dirt road. It was the only way to go to the airport.
From 1982 to the end of 1984, the first expansion project was completed, and Shennan Road was widened to 50 meters. The Shanghai Hotel, which was completed and opened in 1985, has become the coordinates of the urban and suburban areas, the present and future boundary pillar. Before the Spring Festival in 1987, Shenzhen City raised the railway with viaduct. The 6.8 km long Shennan Avenue, which runs through the whole line, was called "ten mile long street" by Shenzhen people.
After Shennan Avenue was officially opened to traffic in 1984, it was simply landscaped. In May 1991, Shenzhen decided to expand the Shennan Avenue, which is 18.8 km long from Shanghai hotel to Nantou joint inspection station, to integrate the 1600 year old Nantou ancient city, the new Shenzhen Science and Technology Park, Shenzhen University, overseas Chinese town, splendid China, folk culture village and other highlights. After Deng Xiaoping's southern talks in 1992, Shenzhen's economic development accelerated. Shennan Avenue, 18.8 km from Shanghai hotel to Nantou ancient city, was built. Two years and two months later, Shennan Avenue, 25.6 km in length, runs through. The width of the road is 135 meters, and the widest in the central area is 350 meters. Along the line, it meets with 48 municipal roads in the north-south direction. Since then, Shenzhen has embarked on the "trans Vietnamese development" expressway. When the greening department took over the greening work of Shennan Avenue in 1996, there were weeds everywhere from Futian road to Oct. Subsequently, the greening Department started the overall transformation of Shennan Avenue and adjusted the flower beds in the middle of the road. At the end of 1996, Canna was planted in the middle zone. In 1997, when Hong Kong returned to China, Shenzhen municipal government decided to sort out the whole line of Shennan Road. The original six lanes west of Shanghai hotel were widened into eight lanes, and a beautiful avenue was completely displayed in front of Shenzhen people. In 1997, more than 100 kinds of plants, such as shrubs and trees, were added on both sides of the road. From the early "cover loess" greening to the present landscape design, the level of background forest was increased.
In 1999, the soil quality of Shennan Avenue was poor, and the trees were not big. Therefore, the environmental sanitation department of Shenzhen city began to improve the soil and water of the green land of the whole road, and fertilize each tree pit, which made great changes in the soil quality. In order to enhance the visual sense of pedestrians on Shennan Avenue, kapok trees are planted at intervals. When kapok trees bloom, it can be said that this road is the most beautiful. The reconstruction project of Shennan Avenue started with the proposal of Shenzhen People's Congress. In view of the safety demands of Shenzhen citizens and the fact of traffic accidents, in 2006, the deputy to Shenzhen People's Congress proposed to transform Shennan Avenue into "Ping'an Avenue". Li Hongzhong, Secretary of Shenzhen Municipal Party committee, and Xu Zongheng, mayor of Shenzhen, respectively instructed relevant departments to put people first, care for life, and implement the goal of building a harmonious and efficient Shenzhen into action. On September 28, 2006, the reconstruction project of Shennan Road started. It contains many advanced concepts: This is a "high-tech road". The paving asphalt mastic macadam mixture (SMA) is a kind of dense coarse aggregate with high technology content. It is imported from Singapore and does not need to be repaired again for at least 15 years.
This is an "environment-friendly road". The SMA modified asphalt covering the road surface has enhanced dust absorption capacity and reduced driving noise by 2 dB. Adding bicycle belts in some sections of Shennan Avenue aims to encourage citizens to use more pollution-free bicycles and use fewer motor vehicles as far as possible, which is a "positive and moderate environmental protection strategy". Adding more bus stops along the road and setting up bus only turning lanes is to make way for buses, keeping pace with Europe, the United States and Japan, which are at the forefront of the global green revolution. Shennan Avenue is an "efficiency road". High tech pavement not only ensures the service life of the road, but also ensures the service life of the car. For buses and private cars, the use efficiency has been improved, the energy consumption has been reduced, and the "benefit Shenzhen" is within reach.
Shennan Avenue is a "people-oriented road". When the Shennan Avenue was expanded more than 10 years ago, it was designed according to the "passing road" with the purpose of increasing the speed. This transformation "straightens out the source" and thoroughly reflects that the priority of pedestrians rather than motor vehicles is given to the main road. Zebra crossing, signal facilities and crossing passage are added to reduce the speed and enhance the safety of people.
In 2006, Shennan Avenue, known as "the first road in Shenzhen", arrived at the junction of Dongguan at the end of the year, and connected with Bao'an avenue under construction to form a main road that runs through Shenzhen from east to west and reaches Dongguan directly
