Yili Zhaosu Racecourse

Zhaosu Horse Farm, known as the "hometown of Tianma", is a "Pearl of Grassland" in the southwest border of Yili Prefecture. It is one of the two core breeding farms of Yili horse. At present, there are more than 7000 horses in stock, belonging to the domestic horse farm with the largest breed and breeding scale. With a total area of 70000 hectares and a total population of 2542 households and 6666 people, the venue is composed of six ethnic groups: Han, ha, Meng, Hui, Wei and Ke.

In recent years, closely around the central task of "enriching the people and strengthening the field", Zhaosu Horse Farm has vigorously promoted the rapid development of characteristic industries, modern agriculture and animal husbandry and original eco-tourism, and has successively built "Yili Prefecture crop breeding base", "China high quality Yili horse breeding base" and "autonomous region modern animal husbandry grassland comprehensive improvement experimental demonstration base" In addition, we have cooperated with many well-known enterprises inside and outside Xinjiang to develop horse improvement and breeding, grassland eco-tourism, high-quality cow breeding and other projects. We will vigorously promote the "dairy industry enriching the people" project, and build the growing Zhongzhou dairy cattle breeding base and Daming snow cow "ecological breeding Park" into an important organic milk and meat production base in Xinjiang. Remarkable achievements have been made in grassland construction and settlement. Since 2002, 15000 mu of artificial grassland has been built and 10000 mu of grassland comprehensive improvement demonstration area has been established. It is a demonstration base of ecological, economic and efficient grassland animal husbandry in Xinjiang. Vigorously promote the development of mutton sheep breed improvement and industrialization. It has invested more than 3 million yuan to introduce Suffolk and other world-class mutton sheep breeds, and use artificial insemination, embryo transfer and other advanced technologies for pure breeding and crossbreeding improvement. It has invested 2.8 million yuan to build six modern breeding sheep pens with complete facilities, purchased nearly 600 improved Kazakh sheep, scientifically planned the breeding base, and built the largest meat sheep breeding farm in the autonomous region. At present, there are more than 1312 lambs, including lansuffolk sheep, Kazakh breeding sheep and multiparous sheep, with an average annual improvement of more than 10000 sheep, and an annual supply of 600 high-quality breeding sheep.
