The wall is plastered with grass mixed with mud and roasted. The floor of the house is white and gray. There is a apron outside the room, and a drainage ditch outside the platform. Both the platform and the ditch are barbecued. A number of small house sites are distributed around the foundation of No.1 house.
Nanzuo site
Nanzuo site is a national key cultural relic protection unit. It is located in nanzuo village, houguanzhai Township, 6 km southwest of Xifeng District, Qingyang City, Gansu Province. It is a Neolithic site (about 4000-2000 BC).
Brief introduction of the site
Nanzuo site is located in wangzui natural village, nanzuo administrative village, Xifeng District, Qingyang City. About 4000 years ago. The site is located on the tableland between two gullies in the northwest of Dongzhi tableland. It is mainly composed of a large rammed sacrificial hall, with small houses. From 1984 to 1996, Gansu Institute of cultural relics and Archaeology excavated the site for five times, covering an area of more than 1300 square meters.
Nanzuo site, with a total area of 200000 square meters. The cultural layer is 2-7 meters thick. There are tombs, houses with white ash surface and ash pits exposed in the site. Most of the houses are semi crypt, plane rounded rectangle or "Lu" shape, with an area of about 16 square meters. The living surface and four walls are plastered with white ash.
Sacrificial custom

historical value
The large-scale building site found in nanzuo site has a grand structure, which is similar to the large-scale building site in Dadiwan, Qin'an. It shows that it is another high-level central site in Jing and Wei regions, and has important historical value for the study of the social form of Chinese Yangshao culture.
Major cultural relics
Unearthed pieces of pottery and stone axe, stone knife, spinning wheel, bone hairpin, dagger, arrowhead, needle, etc. Pottery mainly includes flat edge small mouth pointed bottom bottle, wide edge basin, plate, pot, jar, urn and so on. Most of the decorative patterns are horizontal basket pattern and rope pattern, and a few are square pattern. The main color of pottery is red, followed by gray and a small amount of black.
significance
The large palace architecture found in the site is of great value to the study of the social form and nature of Jing and Wei areas in the late Yangshao culture. Meanwhile, a large amount of carbonized grain (rice, millet, millet, etc.) found at the same time is an important material of Ancient Agricultural Archaeology in China, and also of great significance to the study of the origin of agriculture, the planting and distribution of crops.
