Historical evolution

In January 2000, Dalian art college was founded.

In December 2003, the Ministry of Education approved the establishment of an independent college, Dalian Art College of Northeast University.

In April 2009, Dalian Art College of Northeast University was transformed into an independent regular undergraduate school, Dalian art college.

In April 2011, Dalian art vocational college was merged into Dalian art college.

In 2012, the school moved to a new campus with an area of more than 900 Mu and a building area of 360000 square meters.

In August 2018, the second phase of the new campus of the college was put into use.

On June 18, 2019, the school's original musical "dream of youth" appeared in the Great Hall of the people.

On September 9, 2019, the University and the University of Sacre in Paris signed a cooperation agreement on the establishment of the "China EU strategic laboratory".

On December 21, 2019, the Dance Academy of Dalian art college and Zhan surong dance art research center were established.

Teaching achievements

In 2013, the University was listed as the provincial "implementation unit of innovation and entrepreneurship training program for college students", and in 2016, the University was approved as "the second batch of transformation and Development Pilot Universities in Liaoning Province". He was awarded the honorary titles of Liaoning University Students' innovation and entrepreneurship demonstration base, and was rated as "national maker space" by the Ministry of science and technology. In July 2018, the university entered the "national innovation and entrepreneurship typical experience of 50 universities" sequence evaluated by the Ministry of education.

In July 2019, Mr. Wang Yue of conservatory of music won the second prize of teacher group in the 9th National Opera vocal music competition of higher art colleges.

In August 2019, Mr. Liu Bin of conservatory of music won the second place in the male group in the Chinese selection of Italian "Bellini" International Vocal Competition.

Cooperation and exchange

As of March 9, 2020, Dalian Institute of art has established cooperative relations with seven universities including Thailand's borren University, Korea's Guangzhou University, Korea's Central University, Japan's Chuangjia University and Thailand's Gele University; signed a cooperation agreement with France's University of Thackeray on the establishment of "China EU strategic laboratory"; and cooperated with Amiens University on the establishment of Silk Road Youth International Academy of art.

The school's original musical "Tang ruowang", "soul of cherry", "Ode to peace" and "youth on the Silk Road" have been staged successively in the National Grand Theater and the Great Hall of the people in Beijing, bringing more than 20 majors and nearly 4000 students behind the stage to participate.

Academic resources

As of August 2019, the school library has a collection of more than 1 million books, more than 400 kinds of newspapers and periodicals, and a building area of more than 20000 square meters. The utilization area of the library is divided into three layers: office area, book borrowing area, periodical reading area, self-study area and reader service desk. The library adopts "all in one card" management to realize automation and networking. There are 8 sets of information retrieval equipment and 2 sets of e-book lending machines in the library.
