The origin of the predecessor

Yibin Teachers College

Yibin teachers college was formerly known as the "she Lai she Qu" pilot class founded in 1975 and the Communist Labor University of Yibin. The school is located in Baimiao village, Lizhuang Town, Nanxi County.

On December 28, 1978, it was approved as Yibin normal college by the State Council.

In 1987, the school moved to Xiwan, Jiangbei bridge, Yibin City.

In 1993, with the approval of the State Education Commission, it was renamed Yibin teachers college.

 

Yibin Branch of Sichuan Institute of Education

Sichuan Yibin normal school

Yibin Normal School of Sichuan Province was formerly known as "Yibin Normal School of Sichuan Province" established in 1939.

In December 1949, Yibin was liberated, and the school was renamed as "South Sichuan Yibin normal school".

In December 1952, the school was renamed "Yibin Normal School of Sichuan Province".

Yibin Institute of Education

Yibin Branch of Sichuan Institute of Education (Yibin Institute of Education) was approved by the State Education Commission on March 28, 1994.

On July 14, 2000, the people's Government of Yibin City submitted to the Education Department of Sichuan Province the request of the people's Government of Yibin City on revoking the establishment of Yibin normal school and merging Yibin normal school into Yibin Institute of education, which was soon approved by the Education Department of Sichuan Province.

 

Merger development

On May 11, 2001, with the approval of the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China, Yibin college, a provincial full-time comprehensive undergraduate college, was established by the merger of Yibin normal college and Yibin Branch of Sichuan University of Education (including Yibin Normal School of Sichuan Province).

In 2012, Yibin University was elected as the executive director unit of China Society of higher education.

In December 2013, Yibin University and Xihua University signed an "agreement on joint training of postgraduates".

 

On July 12, 2019, he became the governing unit of South Sichuan University Alliance.

 

On July 2, 2020, he will join the Art Alliance of colleges and universities in Chengdu Chongqing economic circle.
