Located in xunzun Town, Nanzhang County, Hubei Province, it is now merged with Ganxi village to form an administrative village. The village has a history of more than 400 years. Within 2.5km of manyun village, there are still 12 ancient tombs with more than 200 years of history, 1 ancient street with more than 300 years of history, 1 ancient residential building with more than 400 years of history, 1 ancient tree with more than 100 years of history, 1 ancient paper making workshop with more than 100 years of history, and 3 ancient mountain villages in the Qing Dynasty. The population of manyun was about 200 in its heyday, and it is understood that the permanent resident population is less than 100.

In January 2019, manyun village was selected as the seventh batch of famous historical and cultural villages in China.

Manyun village is located in xunzun Town, Nanzhang County, Hubei Province. It is a natural village close to the source of Zhanghe River. Now it is merged with Ganxi village as an administrative village. Manyun village has a long history of construction. Based on the existing inscriptions, the village has a history of more than 400 years. Despite the vicissitudes of life, the villagers of manyun village still retain their primitive and simple living habits and living environment. This small village integrates natural scenery and human history, and is unknown to outsiders. From the perspective of tourism, she is a virgin land that has not been developed. Manyun had a population of about 600 people in its heyday. It is understood that the permanent resident population is less than 300. After nearly two days of observation in the village, it is found that there are only about 100 people in this village. The surnames of this village are very special. Most of them are Du, Ao and Bian. The village branch secretary is Ao. Manyun village is located in the middle of the Tiankeng mountain. It is surrounded by mountains, mountains and rivers, and has beautiful scenery. There are many ancient villages and natural caves around the village, among which Renzhai, niuzhai and Dishui cave are the most famous. The soil is good, and the road traffic leads to the entrance of the village (it is more difficult for cars with low chassis to get in). It leads to the source of Zhanghe River, and the water quality can be directly drunk. As early as the 1950s and 1960s, there were no roads here. Only in the dry season every year, we walked into the village along the riverbed of the Zhanghe River. The ancient trees and houses were well preserved. In particular, a nearly 500 year old Gleditsia sinensis tree and an ancient house at the entrance of the village have become the symbol of manyun village, because the village has not been trampled by the Japanese.

People's daily, Nanzhang, Hubei, October 30, 2012 (Xinhua) on October 29, China ancient village protection and development professional committee sent a letter to Nanzhang county government, officially notifying the county that manyun village in xunzhen town was rated as "Chinese landscape village". So far, the first national landscape village in Hubei Province was selected by Nanzhang manyun village.

Manyun village is the most complete ancient village in Xiangyang City. It has 66 households and 258 people. It has a history of more than 400 years. There is an ancient street more than 400 years old, 12 ancient tombs, more than 30 ancient dwellings, 25 ancient trees, 8 ancient paper mill sites, and 20 ancient mountain villages more than 1000 years old. The village is surrounded by water on three sides and mountains on the other side, with beautiful scenery and primitive production and life style and folk culture.

CCTV special group produced a special film with a length of more than 30 minutes, which was broadcast on CCTV science and education channel on China Heritage Day. Under the guidance of experts, xunzun town of Nanzhang county quickly declared "Chinese landscape village" for manyun village, and submitted relevant materials. After the preliminary examination, the Chinese ancient village protection committee found that manyun village basically met the evaluation conditions of "Chinese landscape village". From September 26 to 29, Ms. Zhang anmeng, Secretary General of the Chinese ancient village protection and development professional committee, led Zhao Chen, doctoral supervisor of Northeast University, and other experts to visit manyun village in xunzun town of Nanzhang county again for on-site investigation and evaluation of "Chinese landscape village".

It is reported that the "Chinese landscape village" is awarded a license every two years. Zhang anmeng, Secretary General of the committee, said that in view of the rich cultural heritage of manyun village and the urgency of protection and repair, he decided to make an exception to grant a license in advance for the village. The Chinese Committee for the protection and development of ancient villages will hold a national seminar on the protection of ancient villages in Nanzhang.

Manyun village in Nanzhang city broke the only provincial pilot of "green happy village" in our city. Xiangyang news network reporter learned that a few days ago, the person in charge of the development strategic planning office of the provincial development and Reform Commission led four experts to manyun village, patrol Town, Nanzhang County for on-site guidance. In recent years, the village has developed tourism in accordance with the general requirements of "simple style, modern function, organic industry and return to civilization". At present, manyun village has been shortlisted as the provincial pilot of "green happy village", becoming the only pilot in our city.
