Dongning fortress site

The site of Dongning fortress is located in Dongning County, a small border town of Mudanjiang. It is a military fortification built by Japanese invaders to defend against the attack of the former Soviet Union. Starting from the North yaman Hall of Suiyang town in the north and reaching Ganhezi in the south, the front is more than 100 kilometers wide and more than 50 kilometers deep. It is the largest comprehensive military fortress among the 17 Japanese military fortresses along the border between China and the Soviet Union and China and Mongolia. It is called "the first-class frontier position" and "the permanent fortress of northern Manchuria" by the Japanese Kwantung Army.
