Luoxi National Forest Park

Luoxi National Forest Park is located in Luoxi Yao Township, with a total area of 12401.7 hectares, accounting for 41.6% of the total park area. Most of the main forest landscape resources in the park are concentrated here. The forest scenic area has dense forests, towering ancient trees, rich and diverse species, well preserved native vegetation, and a large area of hard leaf evergreen broad-leaved forest, evergreen broad-leaved forest, evergreen and deciduous broad-leaved mixed forest and other forest landscapes. In the forest tourist area, there are towering peaks, dangerous, secluded and deep canyons, steep cliffs, grotesque and vivid stone peaks and rocks, turbulent rivers, gurgling springs and waterfalls, and Gongxi lake with pleasant scenery surrounded by green shade.

The original ecological Yao villages, folk customs and numerous cultural landscapes in the forest tourism area add unique spirituality and taste to the forest park. Wild animals also add a wild interest to the colorful landscape of the park. The forest tourism area is divided into wanzhangyan scenic area, gaodingshan mountain climbing (Puzhao Temple) scenic area, Xiangqian ancient road scenic area and Gongxi Lake scenic area.

Luoxi National Forest Park

Luoxi National Forest Park is located in the southwest of Hunan Province, in Luoxi Yao Township, Dongkou County, Shaoyang City. On November 15, 2006, it was approved by Hunan Provincial People's Government (xzbh Document No. 2006232) to be a provincial forest park. On December 17, 2011, it was promoted to National Forest Park, and was officially rated as national 3A scenic spot in December 2013. The total area of the forest park is 29811.8 hectares.

Luoxi National Forest Park is famous for its high mountains and beautiful water. There are 13 high mountains above 1000 meters above sea level, such as puzinao (1821 meters above sea level), Gaoshan (1581.4 meters above sea level), etc. There are nine big rivers, which are one of the birthplaces of Yuanshui and Zishui respectively. Among them, the original ancient village Yao village and its folk customs give the forest park temperature and feelings. There are four scenic spots in the park: wanzhangyan scenic spot, Gaoshan scenic spot, Xiangqian ancient road scenic spot and Gongxi Lake scenic spot. Famous scenic spots: Longtou sandiao waterfall group, Puzhao temple, Baoyao ancient village, bayou river ecological drift, etc.

Development history

Luoxi Forest Park was built on November 15, 2006 with the approval of No. 2006232 document of Xiangzheng Office of Hunan Provincial People's government. The park is located in the hinterland of Xuefeng mountains in the west of Dongkou County, Hunan Province, and in Luoxi Yao township. It is also known as the "most magical oasis" in the world by UNESCO. With a total area of 298 square kilometers, the park is the largest national forest park in Hunan Province, with an average altitude of more than 800 meters, the highest altitude of 1821 meters, the lowest altitude of 290 meters, and a relative drop of 1531 meters. There are five scenic spots, seven categories and 108 scenic spots in the territory. On December 17, 2011, Luoxi Forest Park in Dongkou County passed the review of 2011 National Forest Park review meeting and was promoted to National Forest Park. In December 2012, it was approved as the first batch of eco-tourism demonstration areas in Hunan Province by the provincial tourism administration and environmental protection department. Magic Oasis

Luoxi National Forest Park is known as "Little Tibet" because of its isolated natural resources

UNESCO is known as the world's only pollution-free "most magical oasis". With a total area of 298 square kilometers, the park is divided into four scenic spots and 108 tourist attractions. Here is the source of water, the green world, the sea of flowers, the paradise of rare animals and plants. Wanzhangyan scenic spot

Located in the southwest of the forest park, the planning area is 6040.9 hectares, accounting for 48.7% of the forest tourist area.

The main scenic spots are: gongxihe Grand Canyon, natural forest, various pictographs, etc.

Features of the scenic spot: formed by the main stream of Gongxi River and its main tributaries, Siji River and Baixi River, the four Gorges are characterized by cliffs, rivers, springs, waterfalls, strange stones, ancient trees and well preserved original ecological vegetation and ecological environment.

Puzhao Temple scenic spot

It is located in the south of the forest park, with gaodingshan (1581.3 meters above sea level), the highest peak in the scenic area, and Puzhao temple on the top as the core. The area of the scenic spot is 1744.9 hectares, accounting for 14.1% of the forest tourist area. The existing climbing stone steps provide convenience for tourists to climb and pilgrimage, and now it is one of the main tourist routes

Hunan Guizhou ancient road scenic spot

Located in the northwest of the forest park, the scenic area covers an area of 2603.9 hectares, accounting for 21.0% of the forest tourist area. The main scenic spots are: Jiangjun stone, Siyi Pavilion, Baoyao ancient village, "Shou" stone, Daping bridge, Xianren bridge, Baoyao River, Xianren cave, Millennium Yuanyang gingko, osmanthus king, etc.

Features of the scenic spot: taking Baoyao River and Hunan Guizhou ancient road as the axis of the tour, the historical and cultural landscape and folk customs are very rich, with strong excavation and distinctive features.

Gongxi Lake Scenic Area

It is located at the south end of the park. The scenic area covers an area of 2012.0 hectares, accounting for 16.2% of the forest tourist area. The scenic spot is characterized by clean, long, narrow and deep water landscape of Gongxi lake, good forest vegetation and ecological environment on the Bank of Gongxi lake. The main scenic spots are: Gongxi lake, Tsuga longibracteata forest, evergreen broad-leaved forest, hard leaf evergreen broad-leaved forest and other forest vegetation landscape. Features of the scenic spot: featured by the water landscape of Gongxi lake and the good forest vegetation and ecological environment on the Bank of Gongxi lake, it is suitable for leisure, summer, vacation, science popularization, etc.
