Ciyun Buddhist College
Ciyun nunnery is located in the West foot of tea mountain, Qiaotou Hu Town, Ninghai County, Zhejiang Province. The sound of Sanskrit is melodious, and the bell rings back. It is a pure land of quiet cultivation. The original name of Ciyun Temple is "Ciyun Temple", also known as "Xinle Temple", or "Xinan" for short. Founded in the Southern Song Dynasty, after several vicissitudes, the rise and fall of different. In 1722, the "Longquan ancient well" was built. In the 58th year of Qianlong's reign (1793), Zen master Ding Ming was the abbot of this nunnery, and Mo Jingrui inscribed the plaque of "Da Xiong Bao Dian". In 1888, the abbot Songji ordered master futile Yao to rebuild the main hall. Twenty two years later, a plaque of "Baofu dumi" was erected in the Guanyin Pavilion of the main hall, and a plaque of "Fanyu re built" was inscribed by Wang Qisan.

In 1986, master Youding, the host of Ciyun nunnery in Ninghai County, Zhejiang Province, with the generous help of he Zelin of Guangdong Province, founded the "Ninghai Ciyun Buddhist College" in Ciyun nunnery, becoming a Buddhist College initiated by Zen Buddhism in Zhejiang Province. Later, Zhao Puchu, President of China Buddhist Association and famous calligrapher, wrote seven vigorous and solemn characters for "Ninghai Ciyun Buddhist College", which added luster to Ciyun Temple. In 2002, Ciyun Buddhist College invested 1.8 million yuan to build a teaching building, which further improved the teaching conditions.

1. There are only women's departments in Ciyun Buddhist College. The class has three levels: preparatory class, undergraduate class and law class.
2. Preparatory courses (Buddhism: basic Buddhism, history of Indian Buddhism, weishizong, Luzong and other important Buddhist classics; Social Sciences: Chinese, English, politics, calligraphy). The curriculum of Jurisprudence (mainly studying the three major departments of Nanshan and four books). Undergraduate curriculum: (Buddhism: Tiantai Sect, Pure Land Sect, history of Chinese Buddhism, Sanlun sect, Zen sect, and other sects' basic classics; social and cultural disciplines: Ancient Chinese, general history of China, politics, foreign languages, calligraphy, etc.).
3. The length of schooling of the law class is three years, that of the undergraduate class is four years, and that of the preparatory class is two years.
