Caoyu Park

Caoyu Park, located in Qianjiang City, Hubei Province, was built by Qianjiang people in memory of Cao Yu, a great writer of Qianjiang.

The construction of Caoyu park is mainly to make use of the water and forest resources of Machang lake, organically combine urban construction with urban flood control, and build an open waterscape park which is mainly in memory of Caoyu and integrates leisure, tourism, entertainment and popular science education. The planned land area is 1.6 square kilometers. Taking Zhanghua South Road as the axis, the park is divided into East and west areas. In 2004, the construction of the eastern district was mainly completed. The eastern district covers an area of 440000 m2, involving more than 40 construction projects. Now more than 20 scenic spots have been built, including Caoyu park gate, memorial hall, thunderstorm square, sunrise Pavilion, field corridor, park bridge, etc. The main building is Cao Yu Memorial Hall. Garden 4 is a five minute walk.

The origin of Memorial Hall

Caoyu memorial hall is located in the beautiful Caoyu Park of Qianjiang City, Hubei Province. It is the largest professional exhibition hall commemorating Caoyu in China with rich collection materials and high artistic taste. It will become the only exhibition hall in China that comprehensively displays Caoyu's outstanding contributions and influences the world.

The predecessor of Caoyu memorial hall is Caoyu works exhibition hall in Qianjiang City, which was founded in 1989. After 15 years, in order to welcome China (Qianjiang) Caoyu culture week and further integrate and develop Caoyu cultural resources, Qianjiang online invested 6 million yuan to build this museum in 2013.

Layout of Memorial Hall

The exhibition of the new museum makes full use of all kinds of modern scientific and technological means, highlights the characteristics, shows Mr. Cao Yu's life and creation in a three-dimensional, comprehensive, brand-new and all-round way, and makes full use of the deepening, everyone and atmosphere. In order to be accurate and authoritative, Professor Cao Shujun of Shanghai Academy of drama was invited to write a script for the whole exhibition. The memorial hall is divided into two floors, with a total area of about 3000 square meters. According to the plan, the two theme exhibition halls on the first floor and the second floor will display more than 3000 kinds of precious materials and objects such as Mr. Cao Yu's works, manuscripts, photos, calligraphy and paintings. The exhibition will be divided into three exhibition areas according to the nine parts of creation, performance, management, education, communication, bosom friend, nostalgia, and calligraphy and painting exhibition. The whole exhibition line is 473 meters long. This exhibition will comprehensively and systematically introduce Mr. Cao Yu's life, creation and the influence of Cao Yu's works, and fully demonstrate the humanistic charm of a generation of drama masters.

Crossing the Shuanghong bridge, entering the gate of the memorial hall and entering the preface hall, a bust of Mr. Cao Yu comes. Mr. Wang is dressed in a raincoat with the collar erect, which seems to bathe in the storm of the world; his eyes with profound wisdom, shining under the lens, are looking forward, like insight into the vicissitudes of the world. Behind the statue is a three-dimensional screen with seven volumes of complete works of Cao Yu arranged in fan-shaped arrangement. On the white marble walls on both sides of the preface hall are engraved with Cao Yu's family history and my famous prose I am from Qianjiang. On the second floor, the first and second pavilions are on the left and right. The opening six huge photos of Mr. Cao Yu in different periods are particularly eye-catching. In the form of the whole exhibition, multimedia retrieval, film, television, rolling device, group sculpture, drama model, real object, scenery and lighting are adopted. The number of pictures in the whole exhibition area has increased from more than 100 to more than 500. In order to highlight the unique geographical advantage of Caoyu's hometown in our city, the creative group focuses on nostalgia and nostalgia, which account for one third of the exhibition space. They also refer to the relevant records of Qianjiang county annals and consult a large number of materials to make the ancestral residence model of Mr. Cao Yu, which was originally created for the design and production of Qianjiang. Now, the Caoyu memorial hall is in the process of renovation and renovation. The specific plan and measures are unknown, but it can be known that there are no fountains in Caoyu park now.
