When you go to the ancient post road of the Qin emperor, you can see the ancient post road, sigh about the great changes of the past and the present, and feel the mystery of the art of war in the ancient battlefield.
brief introduction
The ancient post road is about a hundred li long, running through Taihang Mountain and built in the mountains and valleys. The history of this ancient post road can be traced back to the Qin Dynasty. It was once a traffic pass from the ancient Yan Dynasty to the Qin and Jin Dynasties, and the throat controlling the two provinces of Hebei and Jin. After Qin Shihuang unified China, he built a post road with Xianyang as the center. Jingxing ancient post road was an important section of the main line at that time. It's surrounded by mountains and dangerous terrain. It's the transportation hub of Shanxi and Shaanxi to Beijing, and it's a must for military strategists in the past dynasties. In 229 BC, Qin General Wang Jian defeated Zhao; in 204 BC, Han General Han Xin defeated many with a few; in 756 ad, Tang General Guo Ziyi and Li Guangbi annihilated rebel Shi Siming and pacified an Shi rebellion; in 1900 ad, Qing General Liu Guangcai launched the gengzi war against the Eight Allied forces.
In the scenic spot of Qinhuang ancient post road, the original qinshichi road is preserved, and the rut mark of more than one foot deep rolled by ancient wheels can be clearly seen on the road, which is the only historical witness of "cars on the same track, books on the same text".
Gengzi long wall
The ancient post road of Qin emperor can be called the originator of highway transportation in China. There is a "long dragon" winding on the mountain of the scenic spot, which is the place where the "gengzi war" took place. It was a fortification built by Liu Guangcai, commander in chief of Datong, Shanxi Province, in 1900. It was called "gengzi long wall". This fortification blocked the attack of German and French allied forces for five months, and finally helped the Qing army to win. This was the first victory of the Qing government against foreign invasion.
The stone house of "Li Bi Shou Lu" in Jiaqingnian is the earliest and most complete Posthouse in China, which is known as the living fossil in the history of Posthouse in China. At that time, it was a place for officials to rest, supplement supplies and transmit official letters.
Baimaling
BAISHILING, located in Jingxing County Weishui Shili Xu, baiwangzhuang Village West, ancient name baipiguan. The white horse complaint temple was built to commemorate the tragic scene that white horse was framed to death by cart man when he pulled goods through the pass. This reminds us that "evil is rewarded with evil". In 204 BC, white faced General Chen Yu, Han Xin attacked the state of Zhao and stood up against the army of Zhao at the back of Mianhe River in Jingxing. In the battle, although Chen Yu dominated the battlefield and resisted to death, he finally died because of the big battle.
The stone chamber of "Li Bi Shou Lu" is a post shop set up in BAISHILING in Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is a stone structure building, which is still well preserved.
Plank road
The exquisite stone bridge in front of the post shop, the ancient post road - a long ancient road, full of ruts. Every stone slab on the post road has become smooth after being crushed by wheels, trampled by horses and eroded by wind and rain. Paving stone still retains its ancient style, and there are many fossils in it. Ancient fossils with trilobite marks are just a ticket to the sea. The rutting mark on the stone of the ancient Daoling road in East Tianmen is a solidified history carved on the stone. Dongtianmen, as an important traffic road in Shanxi and Hebei Province, has a continuous stream of visitors from Yan, Zhao, Qin and Jin Dynasties. Two deep ruts were made on the rocks of the ancient road, which made the later wheels sink deeply when passing by. The ruts rubbed against the axle, making it very difficult for them to walk. Therefore, when repairing the roads, the ancients had to turn over the deep side of the ruts on the square stones. Over time, stone walls were formed.
Mount the peak of BAISHILING and look to the West. The long wall of gengzi was built by Liu Guangcai in BAISHILING to defend against the French invaders. When the east gate was rebuilt, the old base was demolished by mistake, and the historic site was accidentally destroyed. It's a pity that the restored long wall has no charm.
