Textual research on Culture
1. Rush, original meaning: upward flow. Kangxi dictionary: notes, Chong, Youye. He was also a posthumous FA. He was called Chong when he was young. Since Sui and Tang Dynasties, "Chong Ren" has only been used as the modest words claimed by the emperor. It is also called "punch". According to the book "the remains of emperor Jianwen" written by (Ming) Buzhu, Emperor Jianwen said in the imperial edict issued shortly before the disaster: "I bow to you and receive the artifact." It can be proved that the meaning of "Chong" in "Chong Xu Bai Bu men" is "Chong Ren" and "Chong you".
2. Emptiness refers to the state of mind without desire or action. Lao Tzu said: to the virtual extreme. Wei Yuan's original meaning: "the void has no desire.". Chuang Tzu's Tianyun: "to travel freely in the void.".
3. "Chongxu" means to dilute the emptiness and quietness without any binding. It is said in the biography of Xia Hou Zhan in the book of Jin, that "Fang Jiang takes care of the miser God and is good at his own body. He is mysterious and white, and he is true.". Note: Chong means emptiness
4. According to the third chapter of Tao Te Ching of Lao Tzu, "Chong Xu" is governed by sages: empty their heart, protrude their abdomen; weaken their ambition, strengthen their bones. Often makes the people ignorant, makes the husband wise dare not do. If you do nothing, you will be cured. " The fourth chapter: "Dao Chong, and use it or not." This paper quotes Laozi's idea of governing the country by inaction. The way for sages to govern the country is to reduce the people's worries and fill their stomachs; to weaken the people's desires and strengthen their physique. It will always make the common people have no knowledge and desire, and make those wise people dare not do anything at will. If we implement the inaction policy, the world will be peaceful. Tao is empty and invisible. We can only follow it to do things, but can't ask to do everything roundly. As Lao Tzu said: "if the big surplus is Chong, its use is endless."
5. Chong Xu Zhen Jing, or Liezi, was written by lieyukou in the Warring States period. In 742, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty issued an imperial edict to designate Liezi as "Chongxu Zhenjing" and respected his book as "Chongxu Zhenjing". In Jingde (1004-1007), Emperor Zhenzong of Song Dynasty, he added Liezi as "Chongxu Zhide Zhenren", so it was also called "Chongxu Zhide Zhenjing". According to Zhengtong daocang, Liezi lived in Zhengpu for 40 years, but no one knew him. He was the master of huqiuzi and the master of laoshangzi. Nine years later, he went against the wind. Taoism regards it as one of the "four sons" (Zhuangzi, Wenzi, Liezi, gengsangzi). Most of the books are fables with the main purpose of preaching Taoism's thought of emptiness and inaction. Liezi's theory is mainly health preserving technique, and Liezi records a lot of health preserving and ancient Qigong. "Lu's spring and Autumn Annals" says: "Zi Lie Zi Gui Xu." The "emptiness" here means emptiness, stillness and inaction. Everything conforms to nature.
Here is to use the classic theory of Taoism to name the miniature city gate, which symbolizes the inner city of the Ming Imperial City, by using the word "Chong Xu", which is concise, highly summarizes emptiness, inaction and conforms to nature.
6. "Baibu" is homonymous with "Baidu". According to its steep slopes and steep mountains, it is built with Baibu stone steps, which implies the meaning of common politics.
In the new book of the Tang Dynasty, Gaozong Ji said, "every time Taizong looked at the dynasty, the crown prince would often serve and judge the affairs of the common people."
"Chongxu baibuling gate", according to the situation, is the gate to or facing the empty baibuling. From the Fengmen, through qianbumen and baibumen, through Fuyun bridge and up the baibuling steps, you enter the Sanqing blessed land, which is surrounded by mountains and empty, pure and quiet Xianhu basin. It has the taste of hiding by mountains, nourishing the truth by emptiness and enjoying the life of heaven. This is "Chong Xu", which seems to be nothing, but actually contains many mysteries that are difficult to understand, and derives many mysteries that are difficult to guess.
