Sejila National Forest Park
Sejila National Forest Park is located in Linzhi county and Milin County of Tibet, roughly covering the western periphery of the built Yarlung Zangbo River Grand Canyon National Nature Reserve, with a total area of 400000 hectares. The forest coverage rate is as high as 55.1%. There are 1046 kinds of plants and dozens of precious medicinal materials. It is known as the "world plant museum".
Development history
In 1999, CCTV's "Zhengda variety show" program team went to the scene to shoot and broadcast the scene of Rhododendron opening, which further improved the popularity of this scenic spot in the whole country. Sejila Mountain from June to July is the world of flower sea, flower mountain and flower.
Approved by the State Forestry Administration of China in November 2001, it is an eco-tourism area with the nature of National Park. It is a world-class forest park integrating sightseeing, recreation, leisure, education, scientific research and exploration.

Sejila National Forest Park is located between 94 ° 8 ′ ~ 94 ° 51 ′ E and 29 ° 2 ′ ~ 30 ° 30 ′ n, with a total area of 400000 hectares. It was approved by the State Forestry Administration of China in November 2001. At an altitude of about 4300 meters, Lulang Linhai viewing platform, located in its hinterland, is an excellent location to view the sea of clouds, forests and flowers, as well as the two snow peaks of Namjagbarwa and galabaire, the top ten most beautiful mountains in China.

Due to the special geographical conditions, Sejila Mountain has formed a unique climate and created rich vegetation. There are 1046 kinds of plants in Sejila Mountain, accounting for 20% of the total plant species in Tibet. There are dozens of precious medicinal materials, more than 20 kinds of fungi and 150 kinds of wild flowers, among which 16 kinds are lilies. Sejila Mountain is famous for its large area and variety of rhododendrons. There are about 850 species of rhododendrons in the world, 460 species in China and 170 species in Tibet, accounting for one fifth of the world's species. Sejila Mountain has 25 species of rhododendrons, which are yellow, white, purple, bright red, light red and pink. Most of them are Rhododendron hupehensis, Rhododendron Linzhi, Rhododendron hupehensis and Rhododendron squamosa. Especially from the end of May to the beginning of July, the mountains from 2900 to 5200 meters above sea level are densely covered with rhododendrons, which is the best time to take photos and collect wind.
In Sejila National Forest Park, the virgin forest is dense, and the vertical band spectrum of forest vegetation is obvious. At high altitude, Rhododendron parvifolium, Salix alpina, Rhododendron Nivea, Hamamelis and Artemisia ordosica are mainly distributed. The main tree species are fir, spruce, Sabina vulgaris, Pinus armandii, Quercus altissima, Acer, Acer, etc.; the undergrowth mainly includes Rhododendron, Fargesia, honeysuckle, tiller, Spiraea, rose, three needles, yellow flower, etc.; the ground cover plants include mosses, ferns and herbs. The park is densely covered with more than 1200 kinds of plants, such as spruce, pine, Taxus, Alpine Rhododendron, and more than 200 kinds of precious Chinese medicinal materials, such as Tricholoma matsutake, Gastrodia elata and Cordyceps sinensis. There are a large number of wild animals in Sejila National Forest Park, including 65 kinds of mammals such as bear, deer and elk, and 220 kinds of birds. There are 25 species of national first class protected animals in China, such as bear monkey, gazelle, rock sheep, scarlet breasted parrot and blood pheasant.

Sejila National Forest Park is the necessary mountain of Lulang scenic area. It is located in the east of Linzhi County, 78 km away from Bayi Town. It is a branch of nyainqentangla mountain and an important part of Lulang scenic area. Sejila Forest Park is the watershed between the Niyang River Basin and the Yarlung Zangbo River. The famous Sichuan Tibet highway winds along it. Driving along the Sichuan Tibet highway to Sejila Mountain pass, you can enjoy the magnificent scenery of the sea of clouds and forests. If the weather is fine, you can also overlook the South yingbawa peak.
At an altitude of 4700 meters, the peak of Sejila can watch the sunrise and roam in the sea of flowers. When it is foggy, it has the feeling of walking in the clouds. It is the best place to overlook mount Namjagbarwa. With an altitude of 7787 meters, Namjagbarwa is the 15th highest peak in the world. It means "spear piercing the blue sky" in Tibetan and has the reputation of "father of iceberg". (there is a beautiful legend about Namjagbarwa: Namjagbarwa and galabaire are brothers. Galabaire is diligent and eager to learn, and soon surpasses his brother Namjagbarwa. Because he is jealous of his brother, he cuts off his head when he is unprepared, so galabaire has no top, and the cut down hill is still in Zhibai Village, Milin county.). Because of its unique shape and precipitous terrain, it was conquered by the Sino Japanese joint mountaineering team in 2001. Namjagbarwa is surrounded by clouds all day long. It's hard to see its true face in a year.
Famous features
The famous Lulang forest sea, with an average altitude of 4000 meters, is the best place to watch sunrise, cloud sea, forest sea and rainbow. According to the estimation of the forestry department, the forest coverage rate of Sejila Mountain is 55.1%, covering an area of 100000 hectares, with broad-leaved forest, coniferous forest, larch, spruce, fir, cypress and other trees in the majority, as well as the living fossil "Alsophila" of dinosaur's age, the national second-class protected plant Hongdoushan. It is also a rich place for precious medicinal materials such as Cordyceps sinensis, Gastrodia elata, Rhodiola, palm ginseng, snow lotus, Fritillaria and so on Place of Origin. Under forest resources are also quite rich, including Tricholoma matsutake, Morchella, Hericium erinaceus, Cyclobalanopsis, Bigfoot mushroom, broom mushroom, etc. Tricholoma matsutake is exported to Japan as a pre cancer drug.
Protection of plants
At the same time, a certain number of rare and endangered national key protected plants have been preserved in the East and West slopes of Sejila, including one national first-class protected plant: Cupressus giganteus, and the second-class protected plant: Fagopyrum esculentum. There are three national third class protected plants: Paeonia suffruticosa, Paeonia yunnanensis, and notoginseng. Most of the wild resources in these forest areas are self generated and self falling renewable resources.
Traffic information
The round trip distance between Lhasa and Bomi is nearly 1000 kilometers. It costs about 2000 yuan to charter a bus in Lhasa for 3 days. By the way, you can also visit many scenic spots in Nyingchi. There is a shuttle bus from Bomi to Nyingchi every day. It starts before 10 am every day, and the ticket price is 80 yuan.
