Yiwangxi
Yiwangxi, also known as yiwangxi, is a tributary of Yuanjiang River in Dongting Lake of Yangtze River Basin. It originates from Xi'an town, Taoyuan County, flows through Taoyuan County and Yuanling County, and flows into Yuanjiang River in Taoyuan County. The main stream of Yiwang river is 103.9 km long, with a drainage area of 734 square kilometers, an annual water output of 830 million cubic meters, a river width of 50-150 meters, and a river slope of 5.1 ‰.
The yiwangxi river basin is rich in hydraulic resources, with hydropower projects and irrigation projects all over the basin. The downstream section of yiwangxi town in Taoyuan County, Changde City, Hunan Province, with beautiful scenery and pleasant landscape, is known as "little Guilin" of Changde.
historical origin
During the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period, the Chu people expanded Yuanli in Xinjiang, and the aboriginal "barbarians" moved to the South and lived in seclusion in yiwangxi, opening up the wasteland and reproducing for the people of yiwangxi. In the Han Dynasty, the imperial court exacted taxes on the stream people, so the stream people could not bear the burden, so they had to resist. In order to defend against the attack of the officers and soldiers, the villagers came to Xikou and set up a sentry post on the cliff. In the distance of Xiling, they built a bell and drum nunnery to hang the bell and drum. When the people on duty in Xikou saw the officers and soldiers coming, they lit the beacon fire. When the bell and Drum Tower saw the beacon smoke, they rang the bell and beat the drum to warn. After hearing the sound of the bell and drum, the villagers gathered together with weapons to resist the attack of the officers and soldiers. Every time the officers and soldiers saw the attack, they were found by the villagers. After many failures, after many detectives, they found that on the cliff of Xikou, there was a lookout post for foreigners. Therefore, it was called Yiwang stream. Since then, Yiwang river has been well-known as an ancient border village water area, and its name has also been recorded in history.
Trend of main stream
Yiwangxi, also known as yiwangxi and yuwangxi, is located on the right bank of Yuanshui river. It originates from wushayuanya on the north slope of Fengjian, xuejiachong village, Xi'an town, Taoyuan County, at the junction of Taoyuan County, Anhua County and Yuanling County. 29 administrative villages (xuejiachong, Baiyangping, hunanping, Dachang, moziping, yangliushan villages in Xi'an town, muziping, sandushui villages in Guanzhuang Town, suhuangxi, chengchengping villages in taipingpu Town, shuangchaxi, Zhengxi, Lizixi, Xianan villages in cha'anpu town) in Taoyuan County The villages are: Wuxi, mushixi, Yuntai, songyangping, sanyuantan, Changgang, shangzhiping, maojiaxi, xindianyi, xiagaoping, chaanpu, yantangwan; Taojiang, Jiaolin, jianjiaxi, yiwangxi in xinlongjie. The left bank is in zhujiaping, group 15, yiwangxi town (originally xinglongjie township), and the right bank is in shuixinzhaitou, group 1, yiwangxi village, yiwangxi town (originally xinglongjie township), which flows into Yuanjiang River.
The main stream of Yiwang river is 103.9 km long, with a drainage area of 734 square kilometers, an annual water output of 830 million cubic meters, a river width of 50-150 meters, and a river slope of 5.1 ‰.
Yiwangxi is used to be called in six sections: the section from the birthplace to chengchengping hydropower station in taipingpu is called Zhongxi; the section below chengchengping hydropower station is called Lizixi; the section below Lizixi to Zhuyuan reservoir dam is called Taoxi; the section below Zhuyuan reservoir dam is called litanbaxi; the section from litanbaxi to xinlinheba in Jiaolin village of Xinglong Street is called huangpoxi; the section below xinlinheba to Yuanshui is called yiwangxi.
Main tributaries
On the way to the north, the left bank of Yiwang river was successively incorporated into chenjiatai River, tangjiaxi River, tianjiaxi River, lujiaxi River, liaoye River, Yejiang River, Mingxi River and longmuyuan River in Xi'an town, and baizhuya River and zuojiaxi River in Guanzhuang town of Yuanling County. In taipingpu Township, tianshixi, jilunyan, yemaoxi, chenfuxi, Baxi, kulixi, cangbuxi and Dingpu are included; cha'anpu is included in damaxi and yinjiaxi; in xinglongjie Township, lujiachong, qilichong, Zhengxi and baiyexi are included. On the right bank, pengjialong River, shanniuchi River, lijialang River, zhengbidong River, Jinzhu River, Peiren River, muguayuan River, Shiban River, Wanchong River, xiaoshuitian River and qiaotang River are included in Xi'an town; Jinzhu river is included in Guanzhuang town of Yuanling County; Muwang River, Dongxi River, Huangsha River, maojiaxi River and Xixi River are included in taipingpu township. Xinglongjie Township includes suhuaxi, xiananxi, dingdaoxi, etc. There are 45 secondary tributaries with a drainage area of more than 5 square kilometers on the left and right banks.
Waterway shipping
There are 16 ferries on the mainstream of yiwangxi, including jianjiaba, zhujiaba, Jiaolin, huangpoxi, Taojiang, Lizixi, xiananxi, jinchanggang, luojiatai, chengchengping, suhuangxi, Sanyuanqiao, chenpuxi, yemaoxi, litangba and xiangshangping. The ferry of Suhuang river is said to be Su Dongpo, a great poet of Song Dynasty. Huangshan Valley once visited here and named it Suhuang river ferry. In ancient times, there was a couplet "looking at Ningxiang from afar, crossing the river three times, looking at a pearl of peace from a close view" to praise this ferry. Yiwang Creek has many rapids, many reefs, and the water depth is 0.2-0.4 meters in dry season, which makes navigation difficult. Before 1958, the 50 kilometer reach from yuanjiangkou to maojiaxi of yiwangxi river could pass 5-10 ton wooden boats in the middle flood period. Bamboo rafts and fire rafts (there are 20 fire rafts in zhenqiaotang of Xi'an alone) have a slightly longer operation time, with an annual transportation capacity of about 20000 tons. From the early 1960s to the late 1970s, barrages were successively built on the navigable river sections, which hindered the transportation of ships. In 1979, the Zhuyuan River dam was built, and the channel was cut off by the fence waist. The reservoir area from above the Zhuyuan River dam to the xiananxi River dam and the river section 21 km below the power station to the Yuanshui River can pass ships of less than 20 tons.
water conservancy project
hydropower station
Zhuyuan reservoir, with a total capacity of 130 million cubic meters, was built in Taoyuan from 1978 to 1988. Zhuyuan reservoir is a large-scale water conservancy project mainly for power generation and flood control and navigation. It is the leading project of yiwangxi cascade development and the backbone project of Rural Hydropower Electrification in Taoyuan County. The power station is equipped with 4 sets of 12800 kW hydro generator units, which were completed in November 1983. Xixi reservoir, a secondary tributary in the basin, is also a medium-sized reservoir with comprehensive benefits of irrigation, flood control, power generation and breeding. In addition to these two large and medium-sized reservoir power stations, there are more small hydropower stations on the main tributaries of Yiwang river. In 1969, the people's Daily published the communication of "wanjian Mingdeng Zhaoshan village", which reported on the power supply of the then dashuitian commune (now Xi'an town). The hydropower stations built in Xi'an town are: qiaotang hydropower station (10kW, 1969-1975), qianjinyuan hydropower station (10kW, 1969-1976), yangliushan hydropower station (25kW, 1969-1993), moziping hydropower station (20kW, 1969-1977), Dachang hydropower station (10kW, 1969-1977), hunanping hydropower station (10kW, 1970-1977), Baiyangping hydropower station (10kW, 1969-1971) ), xuejiachong power station (10 kW, 1969-1976), hepingxi, shandongxi, tudongxi, Taoan Zhangjiawan, Dongan, Mingxi, Taoan ZHOUJIAYUAN power station (the seven power stations with an installed capacity of 10 kW were built in 1969 and stopped generating electricity in 1977) In addition, there are four small power stations, namely jijiawan, qianjinyuan nongshuzu, huanghuaxi and jinzhuxi (installed capacity is 2.2kW, which was repaired in 1969 and stopped in 1976) Only dams were built in dashuitian and tudongxi, but no generators were installed. From 1969 to 1971, 18 power stations were actually built in Xi'an town, with an installed capacity of 183.6 kW. Qiaotang power station (500kW, connected to Huaihua network, built in 1976), tao'an power station (320kw, connected to Huaihua network, built in 1977) and yangliushan power station (26KW, built in 1995) are rebuilt in Xi'an town of yiwangxi. In taipingpu Township, DACHAYUAN power station (7.5 kW, 1972-1976), taipingpu power station (5 kW, 1965-1972), angongping old power station (125 kW, 1977-1997) and Shuangxi power station (7.5 kW, 1969-1973) were built. The new angongping power station (890 kW, built in 1997) and Chenggong Ping power station (4550 kW, built in 1975) are still generating electricity. There are Xixi hydropower station (1935 kW, built in 1972) and xixiwei hydropower station (250 kW, built in 1999) in cha'anpu town. There were tujiangxi power station (10 kW, 1966-1972), Zhuyuan first old power station (30 kW, 1969-1974), Zhuyuan second old power station (500 kW, 1974-1978), Xinlin first old power station (250 kW, 1970-1981), Xinlin second old power station (500 kW, 1984-1998), Xinlin new power station (5850 kW, 1998) and Yiwang power station in xinglongjie township (2600 kW, 1976-1998), 37 large and small power stations have been built on the 100 km long Xihe River of Yiwang River, with an average of one power station built every 2.7 km.
