Yuhong pagoda
Yuhong pagoda is located at the entrance of shibatan on the West Bank of Ganjiang River. It can be called a genuine Shuikou pagoda and a typical Fengshui landscape pagoda. It was built by Xie Jie, the governor of Ganzhou during the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty (1573-1620).
brief introduction
The purpose of building the tower is to prevent the floods of Zhanggong and Zhanggong rivers and protect Ganzhou City. Under the pagoda, there used to be a Yuhong bridge. The pagoda got its name because of the bridge, and it was also commonly known as the White Pagoda because of its white dust. The pagoda has nine levels on six sides and is made of green bricks. At the bottom of the pagoda is a red stone xumizuo, which is 30 meters high. The inscription of "Wanli pagoda" can be seen in many places on the bricks of the pagoda. In May 1992, a huge iron ingot weighing 76.5 kg was unearthed from the underground palace of Yuhong pagoda. The iron ingot is the treasure of Yuhong pagoda, with four characters "Shuangliu mainstay" inscribed on it.
The structure of the pagoda is folded up in the wall. The light windows on the outer wall and the stairway in the inner and outer walls are ingeniously corresponding to each other, which is convenient for lighting. It is a masterpiece of the brick Pagoda in the Ming Dynasty.
Zhenta Yuanbao
Yuhongta zhenta iron ingot, 66 cm long, 36 cm wide, 15 cm high, weighing 76.5 kg, shaped like a Yuanbao, is the Ming Dynasty Wanli pagoda yuhongta zhenta treasure. In the early morning of May 12, 1992, Yuhong pagoda underground palace was stolen. After excavation, this huge iron ingot weighing 76.5 kg was unearthed. On it, four big characters of "Shuangliu mainstay" in regular script in Yangwen were cast. These four big characters are the most important interpretation of the architectural function of Yuhong pagoda during the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty. Yuhong pagoda is a Fengshui pagoda. Its purpose is to calm the Ganjiang River and protect the environment Ganzhou City was spared from the flood. Yuhongta pagoda iron ingot is the largest iron ingot seen in China at present. It is also the witness of Hakka geomantic omen used in important buildings. It has important research value. As the treasure of the town hall, it is a national first-class cultural relic.
