brief introduction
Wanzhangbei, a famous scenic spot on Mount Tai. Wanzhang stele
The monument is named after the cliff.
The monument of ten thousand Zhang was born on the cliff, like a canvas falling from the sky and a seal on the belly of Mount Tai. The inscription is yongchaoyang cave written by Qianlong when he ascended Mount Tai. It is the largest cliff stone inscription in Mount Tai.
Walking about 50 meters up from Chaoyang cave, you can see a huge stone inscription "wanzhang stele" on Yufeng cliff in Xidong. It is about 30 meters high, 12 meters wide and 1 meter in diameter. It was inscribed by Emperor Qianlong. Qianlong had a special love for Mount Tai. He came here 11 times in his life and wrote more than 170 poems about Mount Tai, leaving many relics. It is said that when Qianlong took a rest in Chaoyang cave, he raised his head and looked north. There were white clouds on the mountain, and the fairy Pavilion and Qionglou were faintly seen. The eighteen plates looked like a ladder to the world. The green mountains on both sides were lush, and the stream at the bottom of the valley was flowing slowly. It was like a wonderful landscape painting. So Qianlong couldn't help sighing: it's magnificent Mount Tai. It's a great picture, but it's a pity that there's a seal missing. Therefore, he wrote a poem "Chaoyang cave poem" and ordered people to engrave it on the huge rock as the "seal" of his "picture".
historical background
Taishan Chaoyang cave above, commonly known as Taishan's "Tan district.". Standing on Chaoyang cave, looking to the north of Mount Tai, there are many grotesque rocks on the mountain, with many strange peaks decorated with pines and grasses. Under the peak, from the northwest to the southeast, the streams are murmuring and winding. The famous mountains and beautiful waters are the marvelous structure of nature. According to legend, Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty ascended Mount Tai to see the Yufeng cliff above Chaoyang cave, "the stone wall is ten thousand feet, and the next is juejian. On the cliff, the stone gap, the ancient pine flat Yu, the Dragon Xiang Feng dance, the demeanor is myriad ". So he wrote a poem:
Back to the mountains, holding the deep concave, the light of each alone.
So Chaoyang famous, famous mountain rate often.
It is located in Biyun pass, with several mu in Tan district.
The structure is quiet and elegant.
Ten thousand perils are easy to be conquered, and go back at a little bit.
On the other hand, we should learn from the scene and never stop learning.
It is said that Qianlong wrote more than 40000 poems in his life, and literary historians are reluctant to mention him, which shows that his poems are not well written. This poem is no exception. Although the poems were not well written, Qianlong had the artistic ability to appreciate the scenery. At the beginning, Qianlong stood in front of Chaoyang cave and looked north to the Songshan mountain. He saw green mountains, green and luxuriant trees, flowing pines and cypresses, and thousands of postures. He could not help but sigh in surprise: "it's a wonderful landscape painting! It's a pity that there is a lack of a seal." Therefore, Qianlong had a unique way to carve his poem on the cliff. However, Qianlong had a deeper meaning: because the seals on Chinese landscape paintings were all the marks of the author, he used the seal on the natural landscape to show his identity as "the son of heaven". Qianlong's action, in addition to his artistic appreciation of scenery, also brought a bit of the emperor's "hegemony" spirit. The most interesting thing is that after the fall of the Qing Dynasty, warlord zhang Zongchang also went to Mount Tai. He added smaller stone carvings beside Qianlong's carvings. Although one painting and two seals are also the common practice of Chinese painters, Zhang Zongchang's talent, contribution and character can not be compared with Qianlong's. His action is just a sign of his recklessness.
