According to the original notes of Chen Yan's Jiuhua poetry collection jiuzi'an in the early Yuan Dynasty, the temple was built at the top of Biyun peak (jiuzi'an), dingguang + (1206-1207) in the Kaixi period of the Southern Song Dynasty, namely "Guanghua Temple". His poem says: "to the top of the mountain, there are several roads. When you are tired, you will feel at ease. When you are worried, you will have a dream The reconstruction in Ming Dynasty was called Guanghua Academy. It was destroyed in the war in Xianfeng Period of Qing Dynasty, and lived in the 15th year of Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty (1889)! Banchi monk Wu Heng moved the temple to this basin and built a new temple, named Jiuzi temple. In 1958, master Ren De made a pilgrimage to Jiuhua Mountain. Because he admired the scenery of Jiuhua, he went down the mountain. In 1961, he was the abbot of Jiuzi temple. Now Abbot monk Haicheng;
The existing Zhengzhong old hall is a building built in the late Qing Dynasty. It has two floors and three bays, with a construction area of 200 square meters. It is dedicated to Sakyamuni Buddha, and is served by the venerable kasyah and Ananda. There are inscriptions of Ming Dynasty embedded on the left wall in front of the door, recording the reconstruction process of the temple. \The side hall on the right is dedicated to the Bodhisattva. In 1992, master Haicheng vowed to build a new bell tower and a squatter house at the former site of Guanghua Academy in jiuziyanding, with a construction area of 96 square meters. There are statues of Bodhisattva in the bell tower. In 1996, the main hall was built on the south side of the old hall. It is also a folk house with two floors and three bays, with a construction area of 287 square meters. It is dedicated to Sakyamuni, dizang and the eighteen Arhats. In the south of the main hall and the north of the old hall, new squatters and Zhaitang were built, with a construction area of 440 square meters. It is said that Bodhisattva dizang came to Jiuhua Mountain and ascended jiuziyan first. There is a listening tower in the northeast of the temple. The tower is a square stone tower of Tang style, seven steps high and nine meters high. The tower is made of granite. Inside the stone tower, there is a statue like a dog, which is the legendary mount of King shuozang, listening. Listen, a mythical animal, also known as the green dragon unicorn, can know things within a radius of 500 Li. It is said that when Tibetans crossed the sea, they used listening as their horse and listening as their escort. In order to commemorate the outstanding contribution of diting, posterity built a diting tower to honor it. The diting tower and the body tower are called Jiuhua two towers, which have great influence. Jiuzi temple is located in the valley and basin, surrounded by peaks and rocks, waterfalls and springs, bamboo sea tumbling, with many wonderful scenery. At the top of the temple, there are nine peaks, big and small, which are like babies playing with their mothers. Therefore, Jiuzi peak is named after it. There is a waterfall on the Northeast peak, such as white clouds floating in the air, falling into the deep stream, which is called "chuiyun stream". There is also a waterfall at the Northeast peak of the temple - L -. After the sudden rain, it turns into seven folds, like seven water curtains hanging on the cliff valley. This is called "Qibu water", also known as "Qibu spring". Jiuzi Tingquan is one of the ten scenic spots in Jiuhua. After leaving Jiuzi temple and bypassing the diting tower, there is a crescent moon pool with artificial back beams skillfully using the terrain, on which a small stone arch bridge is built. In the middle of the water, there is a three-level round Pagoda with stone sculptures and peaks. Inside, there is a statue of Bodhisattva in the ground (the turtle stone in front of the pagoda, looking up at the Big Dipper). There is a rhinoceros stone lying next to it, looking at the moon on the opposite bank in the West. This scene is called "rhinoceros looking at the moon". This is the money saved by the late kongyou monk of Jiuzi Temple who cut down his salary and collected herbs. Please be able to carve it out of natural stones by a craftsman. After "rhinoceros looks at the moon", two towering maple and elm trees in front of the teahouse facing south are spectacular. It is said that it is ancient because it is said that this tree was planted by himself when he came to jiuziyan in jindizang. He practiced under this tree for many years. It's said that he is twenty years old. These two ancient trees symbolize a bumper harvest every year and more than ten years old: the ancient maple is about 8 feet high and 22 feet in chest circumference. It takes four hands to make a joint. What's more extraordinary is that clouds and fog gather in the high mountains and basins. These two trees are tens of meters high and are easily struck by lightning. However, they have been flourishing for more than a thousand years. From Jiuzi Gufeng to the northwest, through a bamboo forest, you can get to dizang pantuoshi. It is said that jindizang was the main place to practice in jiuziyan. It is surrounded by mountains in the East and West and deep valleys in the north. At the beginning of jindizang's journey to Jiuhua Mountain, when he settled down in jiuziyan, he loved the tranquility of the place and often came here to meditate. As time goes on, the rock has also worn down his marks. Please look at the sunken part on this rock. Does it look like a person's seat. According to scientific research, the air field and negative air ions here are very conducive to people sitting still. The essence of nature is released and the miasma is released. It can be seen that Jin qiaojue was good at looking for training occasions. It is said that when people sit here quietly, they can reach a special spiritual state with no desire and no self. In the bamboo forest of the basin, there is also a round stone pagoda, which is a very small number of Yuan Dynasty Lama pagodas. This tower is about 3.4 meters high, granite layout, round up and down, the shape is similar to Beijing Beihai Gongtong stone. It is the largest lama Pagoda with the longest history and the best survival found in our province. The existence of the CIMA Pagoda in Jiuhua Mountain confirms the history of Sino Tibetan Buddhism's co cultivation. For thousands of years, Jiuzi temple has attracted a lot of pilgrims and tourists with its long and magical history and legends, beautiful and quiet natural scenery.
