At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, there was a patriot named ye chulang in Zhouzhuang. Before and after the former residence, there are five entrances. The five characters "ye chulang's former residence" on the wooden plaque at the entrance of the first entrance are written by Jia Yibin, vice chairman of the Central Committee of the democratic revolution. The second entrance is the sedan hall, where the Ye family entertains ordinary guests. The third entrance is the main hall of the Ye family, where important events are held and distinguished guests are entertained. The fourth and fifth entrances are the inner hall of the Ye family, which used to be the living place of the Ye family. Now some of Ye chulang's works are displayed Books, his manuscripts, and some of his inscriptions, photos, etc. Ye chukui's former residence is a typical courtyard building in Suzhou. Its architectural features are clear brick, small tile and hard gable, and the cloister is hung with latticed windows, which is an imitation of Ming Dynasty.

Ye chulang's former residence is located on Xiwan street in the center of Zhouzhuang Town. It was built in the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty.
Originally known as "zuyintang", it has three doors, five depths and several repairs. Now it is the former residence of Ye chucheng, a veteran of the Kuomintang and a well-known figure in China's cultural and press circles. Ye chucheng was born and grew up in Zhouzhuang.
