The xingzhonghui cemetery, built in 1923, is the cemetery of the martyrs of the 1911 Revolution. It is located at No. 25, Xianlie South Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City, adjacent to the tomb of Deng Yinnan. The whole cemetery covers an area of several mu, with verdant grass and shady trees.
Development history
Mr. Deng Yinnan once said, "if I die, all the comrades of the Xingzhong society should be buried together." In October 1923, Sun Yat Sen ordered the governor of Guangdong Province to set up a cemetery in dabaogang, the eastern suburb of Guangzhou. A yellow memorial archway was built in front of the cemetery, which read "xingzhonghui cemetery". There is a square stele of "the tomb of xingzhonghui of Yuanzu" in the cemetery, and its base is engraved with inscriptions to record the cause and process of building the cemetery. The tombs are arranged in a line from east to west, with members Pan Jia, song Shaoyin, song Juren, Zhen Bi, Zhen Jiting, Huang Bihua, Huang Longsheng and his wife, Ms. Huang Guiyue, Lin Yonglun and his wife he, song Shaodong, Lin Haishan and his wife Zheng buried in turn. The tomb of Huang Bihua built in 1923 is older and larger. The shapes of the tombs are different, such as monument, tomb Pavilion, and tombstone, which are tall, simple, short and exquisite.
Xingzhonghui
Xingzhong society is the earliest bourgeois democratic revolutionary group in China founded by Sun Yat sen in Honolulu in November 1894. The participants were mainly overseas Chinese who run small shops and farms, as well as workers, doctors and members of the party. At first, there were only more than 20 people who took Sun Yat Sen as president. At that time, the situation was that "we are strong at present, we are close to each other, we are looking at the eagle with a tiger", and "we have been following the example of others, and we can really consider the present situation.". It puts forward the slogan of "revitalizing China" and the program of "expelling the Tartars, restoring China, and establishing a united government". Its purpose is to "save the people from fire and water, and help the generals of the building.". At the beginning of 1895, Sun Yat Sen returned to Hong Kong from Honolulu. In February, he established the headquarters of Xingzhong society in Hong Kong and issued the declaration and articles of association. According to the constitution, the Federation is located in China and branches are located in various places. After the establishment of the Hong Kong Xingzhong Association, it actively prepared to launch an armed uprising in Guangzhou, but the incident failed, and Sun Yat Sen went into exile abroad. In 1899, Sun Yat Sen sent Chen Shaobai back to Hong Kong to establish China Daily to publicize the bourgeois revolution. The following year, the Boxer Movement broke out. Sun Yat Sen secretly returned to Hong Kong and was banned from landing by the Hong Kong and British authorities. He immediately ordered Yun Qiliang to launch an uprising in Huizhou, and Shi Jianru responded in Guangzhou. In 1905, the Xingzhong Association and the Huaxing Association merged to form the Chinese Alliance.
