Minghu National Wetland Park is located in the west of Liupanshui City Center. The clear water of the lake is connected with the natural mountains on the west side. The rainbow bridge with a length of 1.13 km is above the clear water, just like a ribbon. The Wetland Park, with a total planning area of 197.7 hectares, is composed of five wetland groups: longguidi reservoir, Yaoshang reservoir, Shuicheng heyuantou section, Minghu village wetland and Minghu xiaoshanxia (commonly known as yixiantian). The wetland types are artificial reservoir wetland and river wetland, with an area of 84.65 hectares and a wetland rate of 42.8%.
There are many kinds of animals and plants in Minghu National Wetland Park. There are 259 species of microtubule plants belonging to 209 genera and 98 families in the park, including 19 species of pteridophytes belonging to 14 genera and 10 families, 240 species of seed plants belonging to 195 genera and 88 families. There are 151 species of wild vertebrates, including 14 species of fish, 19 species of amphibians, 19 species of reptiles, 82 species of birds and 17 species of mammals. There are national class II protected animals Guizhou wart newt, white bellied Caragana and common mammal There are 11 species of them.
Once passing by, you can see scattered fish ponds, low villages, slanting houses, clumps of weeds, or even a mess. And in front of us, the lake like a mirror and the winding and beautiful special-shaped ribbon steel bridge will replace it. Take a long view, flying through the colorful ribbon bridge on the lake, under the misty clouds, the grass, green trees and green leaves are clearly visible, a beautiful picture of nature. On the rainbow bridge, there are already leisure walkers who enjoy the scenery of lakes and mountains. In the whole wetland park, whether it is the shore of the scenic spot or the small island in the lake, there are winding leisure paths. Various plants have been planted along the path. In the early morning or evening, the breeze brings the fresh smell of soil, which makes people feel particularly fresh. Climatic characteristics
The park is located in the north subtropical monsoon humid climate zone. Affected by the low latitude and high altitude, it is warm in winter and cool in summer with pleasant climate. The annual average temperature is 13-14 ℃, the average temperature in January is 3-6.3 ℃, and the average temperature in July is 19.8-22 ℃. The annual precipitation is 1200-1500 mm. The frost free period is 200 to 300 days. Due to the large relief, the climate difference in some areas is obvious. The city's total water volume is about 14.218 billion cubic meters, of which the average annual flow of surface water is 6.4 billion cubic meters, the average annual flow of underground water is 5.268 billion cubic meters, and the average annual flow of surface water (excluding boundary river) is 2.55 billion cubic meters.

Minghu National Wetland Park is located at the extreme west edge of Weining Shuicheng fold fault bundle, Southwest Guizhou fold fault bundle, early arched fold fault bundle in Central Guizhou and ancient fold fault bundle in South Guizhou of Yangtze platform fold belt (grade II structure) on Yangtze paraplatform (grade I structure). The terrain is high in the West and low in the East, high in the north and low in the south. The altitude is between 1400 and 1900 meters.
The main soil types are yellow soil, mountain yellow brown soil, mountain shrub meadow soil, lime soil, purple soil, paddy soil, fluvo aquic soil and swamp soil, which are divided into 24 subclasses, 74 soil genera and 141 soil species.

The vegetation in the planning area of Minghu Wetland Park is mainly subtropical mountain warm coniferous forest, middle subtropical limestone mountain evergreen deciduous broad-leaved mixed forest and limestone mountain evergreen deciduous shrub. Due to years of protection and restoration, the vegetation coverage and canopy density in the area are relatively high. The canopy density of arbor forest is about 0.8, and that of shrub forest is up to 90%.

Yaoshang reservoir
Yaoshang reservoir was first built in 1956 with a dam height of 13 meters and a normal storage capacity of 1.09 million cubic meters. It was mainly used for irrigation and flood control of downstream Tianba. It was expanded in 1989 and completed in 1992 with a dam height of 22.5 meters, a dam crest length of 228.5 meters and a dam crest width of 6 meters, with a total storage capacity of 6 million cubic meters.
Longguidi reservoir
Longguidi reservoir was founded in 1998, with a rainfall collection area of 2.35 square kilometers, an average annual water volume of 1.5 million cubic meters, an arch dam height of 27.1 meters, a total storage capacity of 990000 cubic meters, and an annual water supply of 1.4 million cubic meters. Longguidi reservoir is located in the karst area, where there are many caves. It is very difficult to store water on the surface of the reservoir.
Minghu Xiaoshan Gorge
Minghu Xiaoshan Gorge (commonly known as yixiantian) originates from a 10 km pass in maluoqing village, dewu sub district office of Zhongshan District, and flows into Shuicheng river through the wetland of Minghu village. The total length of the river is 4.5 km, and the rainfall collection area at the estuary is 5.55 km. The height difference between the water inlet and the water outlet of the gorge is 14 meters. In the gorge, two fence dams, six water drops and six wetland bubbles have been built, and a 1.4 km wooden plank road has been built according to the situation of the mountain. Here you can experience the hiking adventure style of "deep valley, dangerous peak, steep road and green mountain".
Artificial lake of Teachers College
The artificial lake project of teachers college starts from the overflow dam of Minghu Wetland Park in the West and ends at xiaoshiqiao of Liupanshui Teachers College in the East, covering an area of 122100 square meters.
