Forest house

Among the buildings on Gulangyu Island, the forest house is stable and beautiful. The roof of the forest house uses the northern European style slope break roof, which highlights the beauty; the facade is not uniform, which highlights the harmony and freedom of retraction, and forms a distinctive personality in coordination with the roof.

The forest house was built in 1927 and designed by the owner's son Lin Quancheng. After graduating from the Civil Engineering Department of MIT, Lin Quancheng worked as an engineer in Xiamen water supply company, designing Shangli reservoir, Gulangyu water management building and Linwu. Lin Wu is now No. 82 Quanzhou road.
