The ancient ape man cave is located in Leigong Mountain, Tangshan town, Nanjing, 25 kilometers away from the urban area. No. 1 female skull and No. 2 male skull were found in this cave on March 13, 1993 and April 17, 1993, respectively. According to experts' research, the two skulls are 580000-620000 years old, which is the only complete ancient ape man activity site discovered in Jiangnan and at the same time as Zhoukoudian in Beijing.

Development history

Cave Square: the Feitian waterfall in the fissure cave is the unique cave; the red and white stalactite in the ape man cave is rare in the world. They have different shapes and mature development. Transportation guide

1. Take bus No.55 in Nanjing to Yuemin Road (qilinmen) terminal station, then take bus No.123 to Tangshan cave station.

2. Nanjing railway station take Nantang line to Tangshan cave station and get off.

3. Friends who drive a private car can go straight from the ring road to Tangshan via Maqun and Qilin gate.

Tickets for scenic spots

Tickets for the cave are 25 yuan.

Free policy: children under 1.2 meters are free of charge; the elderly over 70 years old are free of charge with valid certificates

Preferential policies: half ticket for 1.2-1.5 meters tall; half discount for 60-69 years old with senior citizen's certificate
