Introduction

Jingangtai is a collection of majestic, dangerous, strange, precipitous and beautiful, with numerous peaks. Geological changes hundreds of millions of years ago have created a unique natural landscape with overlapping peaks and forks, high cliffs and deep valleys, crisscross rivers and streams, waterfalls and deep pools, caves and rocks. Maoer peak

It is one of the famous landscapes in Jingangtai scenic area. Because the top of the mountain looks like cat's ear, it stands high among the peaks and can be seen from a hundred miles away, so it is named "cat's ear stone". It is said that Jingangtai was once an inland sea, and evil dragons made waves. The king of Qin waved his whip three times and only cut one ear of maotoushan. Finally, he invited eight King Kong to suppress evil dragons. Wei Wei, eight hundred li away from Dabie, is the first peak in southern Henan. But the mountain is high and the road is steep, so it is difficult to walk, so it is mainly to attract mountaineers.

Dragon Waterfall

Maoer peak is the core scenic spot of Maoer peak scenic area. The mountain stream falls into the deep pool to form a waterfall, with jagged rocks on both sides. The waterfall is 20 meters in height and 3 meters in width during the wet season. The waterfall is like a silver curtain and a long dragon. Xianglongtan

The water curtain cave

The water curtain cave is 7 meters wide, more than 5 meters deep and 6 meters high. The water flows down from the top of the rock, forming a rain curtain. The fog is full of light and the water is noisy.

Red revolution memorial hall

The red revolution memorial hall inherits the fine revolutionary tradition and cultivates patriotism through displaying pictures and cultural relics. It is the first batch of patriotism education bases in Xinyang City.

Red Army shed

During the three-year guerrilla war of the second revolutionary civil war, two female Red Army ancestors, Hua houming and Wang Huaying, stayed here to fight against the enemy. In order to let later generations remember this revolutionary history, it was named "Red Army shed".

Red Army pool

It is said that when the Red Army marched here, they were tired physically and mentally. After drinking the water, they were full of energy, so they got the name "Red Army pool".

Red Army waterfall

The waterfall is located in the middle of the mountain. It is suspended from the stone wall between the two peaks. There is a pool under it. The water is clear and the bottom is visible. Wild giant salamanders are often seen in the water. In those days, the Red Army used to wash clothes and vegetables here.

The Red Army cave, also known as "Chaoyang cave", is located in the southwest of the main peak of Jingangtai with an altitude of 1145 meters. It is a natural cave structure with a depth of 12 meters, a width of 8 meters and a height of 5 meters. It can accommodate 100 people. The entrance is covered with vegetation and only a small path can be approached. It was once the residence of Gongshang (Chengnan) County Committee, Jingangtai women's volleyball team and guerrillas during the agrarian revolution. In 1979, it was listed as a cultural relic protection unit at the county level. The nearby "women's cave" used to be the hospital of the Red Army soldiers. During the three-year guerrilla war of the Red Army from 1932 to 1935, he Xuexue, the company commander of the Red Army, was injured here for eight months. Later, he died during the long march of the 28th army, which later was called the "Red Army cave". From 1935 to 1937, the workers' and peasants' Red Army adhered to the arduous guerrilla war here and won the praise of "the red flag will not fall in three years".

Osmanthus garden

Every year in the golden autumn, Osmanthus fragrans are fragrant all over the garden. It is also the birthplace of the famous revolutionary song "osmanthus blossoms everywhere in August", and also the main shooting location of the film of the same name.

King Kong Temple

Originally Huanglong Temple, it was built in the late Tang Dynasty (939 AD) in the Five Dynasties. It is said that there is a Huanglong circling in the night sky, so it is named.

Guanyin cave

It is said that during the Jiaqing period, there was a deaf mute surnamed Chen who made a living by collecting firewood, supporting his parents, helping neighbors and helping others all his life. Mount Jingangtai is high and dangerous. It is easy to defend but difficult to attack. It has been a must for military strategists since ancient times.
