Legend of temple source

The name of Dabao temple is derived from the site selection and construction of Dabao Dharma king himself. The temple was built in Yongle period of Ming Dynasty. The king of dabaofa, because of his intention, went to the East again. Walking to dozens of miles, there is a small dam, near the barren village, there is a mountain behind the village. When you arrive at this mountain, the golden light suddenly appears on the horns of the sacred sheep. The sacred sheep roars and digs its hooves and gathers a golden bull. The king of Dharma sat on the mountain. All over the mountain, five Bodhisattvas are hidden, and the image of Jinniu is preserved as a historic site. As a result of the construction of a large temple in this mountain, you overnight, five Dharma statues are complete, and the temple is complete. Suddenly, a statue of Guanyin came. Later, his trace came from Tibet and is now in the Jingsi temple. When the success was complete, the great magic king immediately became a protector, and the sheep also became a protector. After the Dharma hall, Shenyang dug out a well called "Liujin spring". The water was clean and went out of the temple gate.

The temple is quiet and quiet. There are a hundred and eight kinds of trees on the top and thirty miles of water and spring on the bottom. Historical evolution

Before Dabao temple was converted to Gelug Sect and became a subordinate Temple of Songzanlin temple, the eminent monks of Gama Gaju sect all practiced here, and Dabao temple was famous in kangzang area. People regard the water on the left side of Dabao temple as the six character water of Guanyin Bodhisattva, and the water on the right side of Dabao temple as the wisdom spring of Manjusri Bodhisattva. After changing to the Yellow religion and becoming the Sutra chanting Hall of Songzanlin temple, the original Buddha statues of various schools of Tibetan Buddhism were worshipped and guarded by two monks of Songzanlin temple every year. Dabao temple, which was rebuilt twice in the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, was demolished in the cultural revolution. In 1984, the government allocated funds for reconstruction, which was still managed by the monks of Songzanlin temple. Pilgrims also resumed the activities of burning incense and worshiping Buddha in Dabao temple.

What the Mani stone carries with it are exquisite Buddha statues and eight treasures of Tibetan Buddhism, as well as various scriptures, which are worth exploring and studying. The two surrounding streams are the legendary wisdom mantra spring of Manjusri Bodhisattva and the six character water of Guanyin Bodhisattva. People who come here to burn incense, worship Buddha and visit all moisten their eyes and hearts with stream water.
