Hongguang Temple

Hongguang temple is located on the Miaoshan mountain in Weixing Town, Wangkui County, Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province. It is a national AA level scenic spot. It was founded in 1996 and opened in August 2002. It is one of the larger Buddhist temples in Suihua, and now belongs to the second monastery.

Hongguang temple is located on the Bank of Hulan River. In history, there was a temple on the mountain, which was called Miao mountain by local people.

Hongguang temple has advanced management, effective Buddhism, numerous visitors and constant incense. It has become the orthodox Dharma Center for promoting Dharma and life in northern Buddha county.

Historical evolution

In 1994, master cifo, a monk of Wutai Mountain, spread Buddhism everywhere and built a Buddhist hall in Wangkui county. Since then, Buddhism has flourished in Wangkui county. In 1995, the government of Weixing town of Wangkui County planned to restore the temple in Miaoshan. At that time, due to the harmony of fate, Mr. Hou, the benefactor of a financial group in Changchun, was willing to invest in the construction of the temple, and was invited to stay on the mountain to settle in tin.

In 1996, a tall and majestic Tianwang hall was built. In 1997, the mountain gate and the main hall were built. Master Xiande went to Prajna temple in Changchun and built a squatter house for 50000 yuan, which provided a place for monks and common people to live in. During the past few years, some residents and believers have set up open-air Avalokitesvara, the second floor of Bell and drum, thousand Buddha Avalokitesvara hall, dizang hall, pharmacist Buddha Hall, sutra Pavilion, reclining Buddha Hall, western three saints hall, zushi hall, Hongfa Building, Yunshui building, etc. The local government has given great support to the construction of Hongguang temple. The parking lot, tree planting, power consumption, and the corridor and steps from the entrance to the main hall were all replaced with marble slabs. The ground has been replaced with cement and green bricks and other major problems, making Hongguang Temple take shape, much like a jungle. All kinds of Buddhist activities can also be carried out normally. Hongguang Temple held a grand opening ceremony in August 2002.

Hongguang temple is located in Miaoshan Tourism Development Zone, Weixing Town, Wangkui County, Heilongjiang Province. It is located in the south of Wangkui county and the northwest of Suihua City. Miaoshan is located on the Bank of Hulan River, a famous river in the north. It is a good summer resort with dense trees and flowing water. Convenient transportation, close to suiwang highway, long-distance bus and Wangkui county bus can reach.

building structure

The overall design, layout and architectural structure of Hongguang Temple retain the style and characteristics of Chinese temple architecture. Temple block north, South Hulan River, covering an area of about 30000 square meters, construction area of 2400 square meters. When you enter the mountain gate, you first see the open-air Guanyin, the second floor of the bell and drum, the Yuanqi stele and the Gongde stele. The main courtyard is divided into three main halls: one is the heavenly king hall. Maitreya Buddha in the middle, Weituo Bodhisattva in the back, and four heavenly kings in the East and West. The second is the main hall. It is the largest hall in the temple, with Sakyamuni in the front and Guanyin Bodhisattva in Nanwu in the back, and eighteen Arhats on both sides. The third is the Sutra library. There are side halls on both sides of the temple, mainly including: body Relic Hall, western three saints hall, pharmacist hall, dizang hall, thousand Buddha Hall, Zen hall, monk therapy and other buildings.

In May 2008, a new parking lot covering an area of 2400 square meters was built. In June 2010, a multi-party financing of nearly 10 million yuan was made for the comprehensive reconstruction and expansion of Hongguang temple. A new body Relic Hall and the western three saints hall were built. All the building covers of the temple were replaced with glazed tiles and antique green tiles. All the floors of the temple were replaced with Antique big green bricks, and all the buildings and facades were re painted. The road leading to Hongguang temple has been widened. Two lotus pools covering an area of 15000 square meters have been built in front of the temple, and two pavilions and Jiuqu bridge have been built in the pool. The lotus pool has become a beautiful landscape. Since March 2011, we have taken two months to carry out comprehensive greening, purification and beautification inside and outside the Hongguang temple, planting more than 8000 trees, planting more than 5000 square meters of grass, and planting more than 10000 perennial flowers. Hongguang temple has a new look, and there is an endless stream of tourists.

Temple Fair

Every year on the eighth, eighteenth and 28th day of the fourth month of the lunar calendar, a grand temple fair is held in Hongguang temple, which is bustling with thousands of visitors annually.

Body relic

Master Shanghui xiakuan, the former director of Hongguang temple, passed away in 1998. He was 84 years old. He was 67 years old in Fala and 58 years old in jiela. Nine years later, on August 15, 2007, Kaizhen found that the body was not rotten, the body was meditating, and the body was in good condition. The day after master huikuan's body came out, another shocking news broke out in Hongguang Temple: the tomb of Shimei Shimei Liang was also opened, and the body was in good condition. Another miracle: the appearance of two Bodhisattvas in one temple at the same time is unique in history. Especially, it is also unique that shamini can become a Bodhisattva. His achievements and far-reaching impact on later generations are immeasurable. Shi Xianliang, commonly known as Chen Shuqin, is a native of shuier village, Weixing Town, Wangkui county. At the age of 76, he became a monk at the old master huikuan of Hongguang temple. Having passed the age of receiving the great precepts, he has been a Shamanist in Miaoshan. He has been practicing more and more. In 2002, he became a monk at the age of 80. His children sat down for him and buried him in the right front of master huikuan's tomb in Houshan. Five years later, Kaifu found that not only his body was in good condition, but also his clothes and shoes were well preserved. His sons and daughters washed and dried their clothes and put them in the body hall for later generations to see.
