Longjiang Park

Longjiang Park was built in 1981. It used to be the old channel of the Longchuan River, shaped like a horseshoe, so it was named horseshoe bend. Due to the diversion of the Longchuan River, it has been turned into a park. The total area is more than 170 mu.

Chuxiong in western Yunnan is a famous city between Kunming and Xiaguan (DALI). It is now the capital of Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture. According to Longqing's Chuxiong Fu Zhi, there are eight scenic spots inside and outside the city, such as Lianchi night moon, Nanshan wild goose pagoda, and olu Qinglan, but the times have changed, and some of them only have false names. People are more interested in Longjiang Park, which is located in the northwest corner of the city.

In this limited space, the architectural arrangement is relatively rich and harmonious. The small plum garden in the north, the corridor and the attic, surrounded by plum trees, are quiet and elegant. Among them, there are often flower, cultural relics, calligraphy and painting exhibitions. The skating rink, yacht wharf and shipboard style water tea house in the southeast corner can enjoy tea or boat. The Cherry Blossom Island, Begonia forest and green lawn in the northeast corner are quiet Deep and quiet. As for the children's playground in the stone archway on the north side, children can play.

History and culture

The whole park is not only a garden show, but also fun. Chuxiong, formerly known as Lucheng, is a symbol of Lucheng. For example, Guo Moruo left Kunming for Dali in September 1961 and stayed in Chuxiong on the way. He once wrote two poems of seven rhythms. The sea peppers are red in every household, and the department stores are very popular. During the Three Kingdoms period, it is said that Zhuge Liang arrived in Chuxiong on his southern expedition, and the name of "ZHUGE camp" still exists. The last sentence of the poem sums up the new appearance of today's Yi Township from countryside to town, from production to thought. The handwriting of this poem has been carved into a stele, and a stele pavilion has been built in Longjiang park. When Yang Sheng'an, the number one scholar in Sichuan Province in Ming Dynasty, passed Chuxiong, he used the weeping willow to lament his miserable life experience. The chapter of weeping willow was also engraved on the water corridor.
